If Yashiro dies, there may be a chance that she won't be a school wonder, and since Hanako can't leave the school, Yashiro would have to visit him. But if Yashiro gets exorcised or passes onto the afterlife without any regrets, then Hananene is close to impossible.
But if Yashiro stays alive then she would eventually need to go to college and whatnot and Hanako can't follow her there.
So I feel it's better if Yashiro dies because :
A) she can stay with Hanako in the bathroom
B) Mistuba, Kou and Akane (her only friends) can still interact with spirits.
So yeah.
