I enjoyed what I’ve played so far. It’s a fun idea for a game, and for once my wife is curious based on the title character. It does feel fairly easy to beat, so I’m not sure how much I’ll be playing it when Indie 4 is released. For now, and for free? It’s a good time.
It's not often I rush to download GOTM but this is actually really quite good.
Those judging it off the title or graphics then you are all missing a great title.
While this is a NES style game, there are elements of all the great platform games of the 80s. This definitely is giving me "Booty" vibes and with the style you can see the Super Mario Brothers homage on the 1st level.
The music adds atmosphere but, like those games in the 80s, can grind after a while. You can switch it off.
Are there drawbacks? Yes. Going up and down stairs is not as fluid as it could be, but overall the game plays well, no unfair hits/deaths and it isn't by any means that challenging but it is definitely going to be one you'd play through the difficulty levels to finish.
Great video CB and I think this could be the sleeper hit of IH4.

Blaze probably paid a paperclip, a plastic button and some bellybutton fluff for this game and they overpaid for it.

I’m starting to think this is an off year for Evercade maybe 2025 will be better.
Had to turn off the music after a few minutes. God awful
Haven’t liked any of the Game of the Month, indie Heroes 4 is looking underwhelming and could be the first Evercade Cart I don’t Buy
