I've always struggled with how to react to "concept" or "performance" art. It often seems the real artistry is in the contextualizing and selling of the concept. Then how to assign monetary value? Then who is paying? A private foundation can spend how they please. If hard-earned citizen funded tax dollars are involved, I might give pause.
