I did not know locs could be so pretty and so healthy and shiny all at the same time: the maintenance must have been stellar! I like the way the stylist showed not only expertise but caring for the client's comfort and well-being while giving him a wonderful transformation. One of the best parts was when the stylist spoke of the client's facial and skull structure with an eye to tailoring. Great job and most interesting! thank you
That is definitely a game changer. He looks very distinguished and polished now. You have a gift to enhance people lives, so don't stop what you are doing. The name of your shop should be Anointed Hands because you are definitely bringing "The Oil."

Locs typically aren't a hair style I like(nothing wrong with them we just all have different likes) but his have to be one of the prettiest, most well maintained locs I've ever seen! Wow! And such a gorgeous smile! Feel like the shorter hair brings the attention to his face and pretty eyes. Awesome cut!
I agree completely! I was curious how this would turn out. I’ve never seen this page before. I was captivated from beginning to end. After watching this, I went to the beginning and fast forward to the end. Wow is right! You could barely see his face before, now you could really see the whole person. Wow! That was an amazing transformation. I loved his long dread locks. You could tell he took great care of them and maintained them really well. What courage it must of taken to get them all cut off. The barber did an amazing job cutting his hair. I loved how you explained what you were doing. You are very knowledgeable and did a great job helping your client feel at ease and comfortable with his hair cut. The end result was incredible! He looks so handsome with his new hair cut. Excellent job!
I think before he was recognized for his dreads. Now he'll be recognized for himself. Handsome man either way. It takes courage to make such a drastic change.
It’s almost sad to see him opt to cut it off, you can tell he took really great care of his dreads. Barber is amazing!
It’s crazy how the hair you have can really change the way you look. He went from a nice looking guy in the beginning with the locs to a “damn, he fine” at the end.

I particularly love these extreme changes that you create, the loss of the dreads for these guys is coming at some important transition in their lives, career/life changes, and you have to be some kind of psychologist to manage that successfully for them. Cedrick's hair particularly was very well maintained, beautiful, so it must have been quite a decision to lose it. That said, the new cut was great, loved that the decision was to leave some volume at the top, made it a bit less formal and natural, and you framed his face perfectly. Great job!

I like that you truly try to decipher a client`s comments when you ask them what they would like for you to accomplish in bringing the idea in their mind into the real world. I also like your technique of layering the hair, so as to lay the ground work for the fade. I learned quite a bit from watching you. Coming up, cutting hair was my hustle. But I didn't have a method. If I had encountered you back then, being a barber would have been my career field. Keep up the good work.

I luv the vid...reminds me when i first had my dreads cut off..it was a moment i never want to experience again. I never felt quite right and after a year grew them back. After 12 years they are at my waist and i may trim them but never lose them again. There was something spiritual about losing them and getting them back. bless all.

I appreciate your comment to the fullest. I love these videos. But just a question or concern. Why is it when I watch a video of a white person getting a fade or just a cut. The comments are just nice cut from all races. I'm not racists by no means. But just crazy to me that when a black man like in this video gets the same cut. It's handsome black man and that's what excellent looks like. And tbh dude looks good. No homo. But just a question I'm worried about. I mean we all are people and people are all equal. So why it it always black or white. Why not ONE?

I understand.....I did the same thing 6 years ago. I cut my locks myself because I wasn't sure how I would feel if a stylist cut them. It was very emotional.I keep my locks in a wooden Mahogany box. The memories......all good!

Thank you for leaving the edge up ALONE. You didn't add enhancements or any additives to get that "movie star" look. I feel that when you're transitioning, keep it as natural as possible the first few cuts, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel over something that won't last but a couple days. I really appreciate this video I personally feel it's so important for black men or women, when deciding to make this type of transformation especially from dreadlocks, that they do it with loving Caring Hands. I've seen many mainstream social media making a mockery of our historical Locs,braids,extensions. ( this was done in such good taste)
