This is less awkward, and imo more enjoyable than the double or treble crochet X stitch. This is perfect for double sided projects like scarves or shawls that you want to be reversible or for mesh clothing - Love it! So versatile! Thanks for teaching us to do this so patiently!
🎉I can always count on you Mikey to explain it simply! I love your easy to follow instructions (Llama llama no drama was my first) I put a musics box in his belly and gave it to my now 6yr old grandson when he was born-you’re the bomb 😊
YOU make me crazy. I’ve been crocheting and knitting and sewing for 59 years. Have 5 sewing machines, three are embroidery Machines. Then I got STUCK ON YOU. I have to try all you do. You have taught me soo much. While my machine is doing a design, I sit and watch you. Thank you for making my life a little challenging.
Thank you so much for this video! And for going so slowly. You made it so easy to follow. Could never understand i t from written instructions. You're the best!
This has got to be the best X stitch for a lacy shawl or scarf. Thank you for going slowly through the steps. I wish you had started at the beginning of the chain and showed how to start the second row. BTW, your voice is soothing.
Mikey watching your tutorial on the X stitch is so helpful. Seeing the stitch being created and then the explanation along with the visual is the best. I’m looking forward to more fun tutorials.
This is the coolest stitch I have seen in a while. I enjoy your voice. It’s so full of joy! Everytime you mention your mom, I think to myself, “I would love to spend an afternoon with that lady.” She sounds quite lovely. From the things you say about her, I think your expressions and fun ways of remembering steps and stitches come from her.
I love, love, *love* this! The funny/weird coincidence for me is that I am finishing the back panel of a tunic vest (with med. 4 weight yarn, as a transitional seasonal garment) in a crossroad stitch, which is basically a simple pattern using two full treble stitches to make a two-step, "X" (so that one is over the other. Hope that makes sense). And just a little bit ago, as I finished working on it for today, I was thinking to myself that it would be so lovely to be able to make a less bulky (for lack of a better word) "X" stitch that I could use with lightweight yarn, for a summer vest and...voila! The first thing I see when I open You Tube is this tutorial. Thank you! ♥
Thank you Mikey!! You've made this gorgeous stitch look easy to crochet. I'm going to be using this one a lot! ... I wonder if this could be used between granny squares ... hmmmm
Hey Mikey I was wondering could a blanket be made with this stitch and if so could you make a video to show how it's done Thank you so much for being the best teacher ever I have learned so much from you 💞💞💞💞💖💖😉😉😉
We have retired them Susan. We are doing Travel with the boys and the registration is open for those now. For 2023. thecrochetcrowd.com/welcome-to-crochet-cruises/ We are no longer doing conference portions of events to save money and for you to have a cheaper option.
I love this stitch. If I want my X to show a little better, could I skip 2 after the first leg and ch 2 after the 3rd leg? If so do I need to adjust my stitch count?
Where can I find the x pattern written directions that follow you? I didn't sit and write it down while I was watching you but I wondered if there were written directions somewhere that I missing
Okay. I have to crochet this woman's top that has this pattern. It's sitting on the studio table for me to film up but I haven't done that yet. I'm sorry.
I sense you are being sarcastic. You can slow me down by using your player settings. Any video on RUclips can be slowed down. You probably already aware how to do it... If not, here's a video on how to change your settings. It's impossible to teach at the speed that everyone loves. ruclips.net/video/dvtBflCIR7w/видео.html
The stitch instructions were great. A+ But you do not tell the crocheter how to get started on the row, chain 4? Standing triple crochple? or standing double triple crochet? That is a D- (I have over 48 years of crochet experience)
Mikey you have done it again. I love this stitch and I learned in less than five minutes 😊 Thanks again
Spent two days trying to learn this stitch unsuccessfully for this another video im following. You taught it to me in 2 minutes. Thanks a lot.
Thank you, This is a great tutorial for this stitch. Beautiful.
Wow !!!!
J’adore votre façon d’enseigner. La vidéo est très claire aussi. C’est très apprécié 💖
Love how you teach. You are such a sweet, gentle soul.

That is a neat stitch pattern. I'm grateful for the video. I would have been so confused with the written pattern alone.

Thank you. Great tutorial! Can it be made in the round ? And the joining ? Cant figure it out
I love this stitch. It would make a beautiful spring shawl. What yarn and color way are you using in this tutorial?
It's Patons Grace, Light Pink.
@@TheCrochetCrowd Thank you so much
Hey Mike been awhile! You are an excellent teacher! Mike could you tell me how soon in advance to get to your cruise or don’t you do those anymore?

謝謝🙏學到了!
那太棒了! - That's great!
Could you please show how to do the second row of an X stitch? Where do you start the X?
I love this stitch. If I want my X to show a little better, could I skip 2 after the first leg and ch 2 after the 3rd leg? If so do I need to adjust my stitch count?
Probably so, try it.

Would love instructions for the beginning of the row.. like the very beginning
