Tempered and heat treated can take a 500 degree swing. Some double pane windows you can’t put ceramic on, depending on if there is a low e coating and on what’s surface level it is on. The ceramic absorbs and so does the low e coating which could result in the glass breaking or the seals failing.
No you CAN NOT apply auto film to flatglass. The absorption rate is way too high, high risk of seal failure and or glass breakage. You need to use flatglass films

Just a soakshield but you can use a thick rope or something similar.

Just a scrub pad is the preferred method
Can you use Automotive Film for residential?
As long as it's not lower than 25%
