Thanks Jarrad for the new rules that are coming. I had The letter of Consent under my wife's DP and the new rules would have challenged me. It is OK now. Thank you
Hi..I am on dependent pass of EP here in Singapore..how will I get work pass without secure any job?bcs everyone is asking for workpass first before job confirmation...kindly assist
Hi there, Thank you for reaching out. Fortunately, whilst it has certainly become more difficult to get EPs given the requirements for Singapore registered companies and quotas in place, there are still plenty of companies that are looking for experienced expats in certain fields. Being on the ground in Singapore and being able to interview in person certainly gives you the upper hand over somebody applying from abroad all else being equal. Depending on the field/s you're looking to get into, my suggestion would be to get along to networking events, speak with recruiters in your field, ensure that your LinkedIn profile is professional, and update and reach out to relevant professionals in your field. Now that Covid restrictions are easing, there are also plenty of networking events that you can get along to which will assist in meeting the right people. Best of luck with your job search.
My husband is in Singapore now. He has already processed my Dependent pass but now entry is banned from India. So pls can u tell me how can i come to singapore now ? Previously I was working there.
Hi Sushma, Sorry to hear the news. I would suggest reaching out to the Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of Health to explore your options. It may be a matter of waiting until flights are allowed, unfortunately. I do hope you're able to get over here soon.
Thank you for reaching out Sushma. My recommendation here would be to contact the Ministry of Manpower (www.mom.gov.sg/) and Ministry of Health (www.moh.gov.sg/) directly as they will be able to provide you with updates on travel allowances and any exemptions you may be eligible for. I hope you're able to join your husband soon. Safe travels.
Hi Mohamed, Thank you for reaching out. My recommendation here would be to contact the Ministry of Manpower (www.mom.gov.sg/) directly as they will be able to provide you with an outline of what your options may be to bring your family over. It may also be worthwhile for you to reach out directly to an immigration lawyer to explore your options here. I hope your family is able to join you soon.
Thank you for your valuable content 🙏✨
