This is how you play the C chord on guitar.
Tune your guitar
Tune your guitar to standard tuning (EADGBe)
Index finger: 1st fret, 2nd string.
Place your index finger on the 1st fret of the 2nd string.
Middle finger: 2nd fret, 4th string.
Place your middle finger on the 2nd fret of the 4th string.
Ring finger: 3rd fret, 5th string.
Place your ring finger on the 3rd fret of the 5th string.
Play chord.
Strum all strings, except the 6th string.
