We drove from Los Angeles to Missouri via the southern (former Rte 66) route, and back via the northern hwy 70 route in May, and this song was in heavy rotation on the Sirius FM Spectrum station. This song will always make me think of long stretches of highway through deserts, rolling hills, plains filled with miles of wind turbines with their red lights blinking against a black night sky, winding roads through deep mountain passes. It's one of the best road songs ever.
I'm hearing a lot of sound, but barely any voice. It's as if I'm listening to the guest artist at Strictly Come Dancing. The dance music and voice are always well balanced, but the live artists are almost always drowned out by the music. This feels just like that. Rag'n'bone deserves better.
Why can the BBC never get an audio mix right? I'm sure they're determined that the vocalist is thrown to the background. Ruined a great performance, again
