that’s what I’ve always wondered, though I suppose that getting to wen Qing would take too long and the golden core would die or something, still makes you wonder why he didn’t grab someone else’s
@@TheOscardolan You're probably right as for the golden core dying out because it would take too long to go to Wen Qing.
And as for why he didn't grab a random person and stole his golden core, I'm guessing he might have been too honorable to do it. Moreover in order to take Wen Zhuliu's golden core you can see Wei Wuxian has to gather a lot of resentful energy from the zombies, so it might not be as easy as it seems.
Finally it was said the procedure to transfer a golden core was extremely risky, and not garanteed to work in any way, therefore I am guessing this combination of factors made Wei Wuxian not try it (and of course he was probably also content with demonic cultivation and quite proud to be able to pull it off too).
@@math9172 true, and, at least In The anime, weis golden core seemed to repel the resentful energy in the cave of the xuanyu, so it could be theorised that the golden core makes it harder to perform. But xue yang is a good example of how the two cultivation styles could mix.
In any way, there were a lot of wen clan disciples that weir could’ve taken the golden core of, even if he wouldn’t be able to perform to the same level he used to without wen zhuliu or someone else of similar strength(not that there are many) on the wens side
Another point is that while the procedure isn’t guaranteed to work, it shouldn’t have any negative side affects, as the “risk” would be the golden-core-giver’s golden core dissolving instead of becoming wei’s
@@TheOscardolan These are all very good points. I guess he could technically do it, so I don't know why he didn't, except maybe pride for his demonic cultivation.
Since I have your attention, I have always wondered something :
Does Wei Wuxian get a golden core back after reincarnating ? I mean technically Mo Xuanyu had a golden core, so shouldn't WWX get one back too?
Or is it really only linked to the person ? Like it'd be more similar to a "soul" than an actual physical thing?
@@math9172 wei does get mo xuanyu’s spritual energy-power thing, but mo is very weak, I think wen Ning says something along the lines of “he barely has enough power to draw his sword”
I think in theory wei could improve with mo’s body, but the demonic path is stronger and faster then building up a golden core in mo’s body.
