The heat is a real danger for a rancher working a fence line. For sure it slows me down on the build project every year.
But I saw a review of wearable AC units by ‪@ProjectFarm‬ and I picked his best units to do a field test in the Texas Heat. I am pleased with the results.
    So I bought these:
    $279 - Tested Torras Coolify www.amazon.com...
    Pending a field test:
    $28 for ChillGo Fan: www.amazon.com...

I have been using a very basic neck fan for a few years... i sweat a lot in hot humid weather. When you test the fan version, try it with and without one of those cooling towels that you wet and wear on your neck. The fan helps evaporate the water which creates the cooling effect.

Pretty humid down south. Swamp coolers literally don't work at all where I am. But if this evaporates _any_ amount of moisture off the skin then it's going to be a win.

That is a really good idea. I have a lot planned for this weekend and will test out the neck fan - which was literally $200 less dollars.
If it cools just as well then that is a huge win.

Too much money for a wearable fan!

It is $279 today. I bought it during 1/2 off during Prime day.
Here is my thought. If I get 1 hour more work a day done in the heat then the wearable AC pays for itself in 2 days. (Assuming I am worth $100 an hour).
In that ROI the AC unit does pay for itself. I am building a Santa Fe style house as well as ranching. The extra working time is highly valuable.
