Ooo your handspun is beautiful! Handspun socks are the most cozy, luxurious thing you can make yourself. Enjoy! So glad my friend recommended your podcast, your aesthetic is beautiful. I've been out of the knitty podcast world for some time and watching this episode was super inspiring.
Ah thank you so much for your kind words! So encouraging~ I hope you come back to the podcasting world. Can never have enough fellow knitters/crafting enthusiasts sharing fun things here on YT 💛
I don't remember which video you suggested Marry My Husband, but I've been binge watching it and it's so satisfying. Thank you so much for the suggestion!
everything is gorgeous! the yellow socks and red sweater is *chefs kiss* i especially love the blouse. i must make one for myself. the crocheted edges! ahhh so pretty!
@@whatmarielmade For me, finishing the cuff-down socks are a bit of a pain, as you need to use the magic loop (but I see you use magic loop anyway, so maybe you are okay with it) when you get to the toes. But with the toe-up, you only need to use the magic loop initially and after the increases of toes, you can use circular needles all the way which is really nice in my opinion!
Your top looks super cute! But yeah I've done one double-knit buttonband and SO MANY ENDS!! And ooh thanks for the podcast rec! I love Maker Bee's aesthetic and will totally check out Emtothethird. I looove knitting with color personally and too many podcasters are too heavy on the neutral for me. 🤣
On such a kindred wavelength: knitting socks in same blue/brown color way (also a magenta and brown, so nice!) and JUST bought the Madara too, for a cardigan lol 😂 ❤❤
Your hand spun is sooo pretty, can't wait to see your socks💖 Also, I'm so curious what e-spinner you have and how you'll like it once you start spinning with it! Please keep us updated with that 🤗
Don’t know if someone else already mentioned this, but Florence Miller has a tutorial on button holes which have no ends to weave in I believe it’s in the SBS Cardigan tutorial ^^ For future reference
A nice alpaca suri would be good if you aren’t a fan of the mohair, especially because there’s already alpaca spun into the noro. That yarn has been on my wish list too, looking forward to seeing how it turns out
Such a great point! Thanks so much for that tip! I'll have to swatch with some alpaca suri I already have in stash. Even better if I don't have to buy more new yarn for the cardigan~ 💛
Fall of the House of Usher, Hill house and bly manor are all from Mike Flannigan. I definitely suggest "Midnight Mass" if you haven't seen it. I love horror.. and if you want more weird weird weirdly horror -- I would suggest watching Brand New Cherry Flavor and also Channel Zero. Also "I Saw the TV Glow" is awesome a really good film that's horror focus but more psychological.
florence from handmade by florence has a great tutorial on how to make a double knit button band without having all the extra ends to weave in! it's amazing, you don't have to break the yarn at all
Love the blue and brown grid socks!
Ahhh thanks, Emily! 💛
Oh my gosh I *gasped* when you pulled out the Noro Madara 🤩🤩 I also giggled at your Eun pun ☺️
Hahha yesss! the Noro took my breath away too~

Ahh! I love all your socks esp the yellow ones! My dogs name is Maize so I love them even more. Can’t wait to see how the red sweater turns out!
Such a sweet dog name! Thanks for the kind words 🫶🏼
Perfect name for your red sweater, very witty!
Hahah thanks so much!
Red color looks so good on you ❤
Thanks so much! 💛
Love seeing your projects! That Noro yarn looks so dreamy. ❤
Ah thanks so much, Madison! And yesss the Noro is sooo dreamy~

Wahh! You're so welcome! Haha I'm so glad you're enjoying it; isn't it SOOO entertaining (and yesss very satisfying) 💛
Yes! SO many ends to weave in with a double knit button band you're not alone in this belief!
Ugh yes, too many ends!
everything is gorgeous! the yellow socks and red sweater is *chefs kiss* i especially love the blouse. i must make one for myself. the crocheted edges! ahhh so pretty!
the yellow socks + red sweater are def inspired by things you shared in one of your recent vids! 💛
Wow. I truly gasped when you showed your hand spun yarn!! I can't wait to see when you make socks with them. Also loving the red sweater!
Thanks so much! That's so kind; I'm excited to start the socks (thinking maybe I do toe-up socks for the first time, to make the most of my handspun?)

Okay. I give you much credit for the name Frankenstein sweater. I really like that Eun pattern.
Haha thank you! Yes, the Eun Sweater is a great one~

Thanks so much! And yesss! I think you'll really enjoy Emtothethird if you're already into Maker Bee. 💛
I also want to do a fun gray cardigan! Considering using isager Aran tweed confetti but the noro madara is very tempting
Oooh yess! I hope you make it soon~ Those are two great tweedy options!
On such a kindred wavelength: knitting socks in same blue/brown color way (also a magenta and brown, so nice!) and JUST bought the Madara too, for a cardigan lol 😂 ❤❤
Hahah I love it whenever the wavelengths match for knitting projects + energy! Love all of this for US! 💛

Ooh thank you for that!

Oooh loooove must check it out! I actually hadn't watched Hill House + Bly Manor fully thru yet, so once I finish those, I'll move on to your recs!
The creator kimmie munkholm has a tutorial on her page on how to make button holes without breaking the yarn!
Ahhh also great to know! Thanks so much! I like Kimmie's videos; she's a great teacher~
Ooo will check this out!
