- In this Physics video in Hindi we explained Stefan-Boltzmann law for blackbody radiation for class 11. Every body emits energy, which depends upon its surface area, temperature and emissivity. This law states that the energy emitted by a body per second is the product of the emissivity of that body, the Stefan-Boltzmann constant, the surface area of the body and the fourth power of the absolute temperature of that body.

6:43 how can body of T temperature absorb radiated heat from body of T' temperature? If T > T' . Or this temperature dependent heat transfer is only for conduction and convection , and not for radiation? Like any body can radiate which can be absorbed by any body irrespective of temperature.
But if T'> T, H becomes negative. So heat loss becomes heat gained. Right?
Heat transfer occurs always in both directions. Even two bodies at same temperature transfer heat in both directions but the rate of transfer is same for both of them, so temp remains constant

Then the main body radiates heat and transfers it to the environment outside. And the outside environment also radiates heat,which is got by the main body. This process goes on... according to prevost's theory

Sir , what is the reason behind taking the fourth power of absolute temperature and not only T in this equation and one more question , what is the fourth power of kelvin and why the H is directly proportional to T^4 and not to T?
