Not to be rude or anything, but i think your doing a word concept fallacy with words like "believe" "saved" "works" all these words have different meanings depending on the context. We can see that anyone who is not written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire. For someone to have their name blotted out of the book of life that means that they first had to be written in there to begin with otherwise it wouldn't make sense. Also i don't think there is a different between blotting out and taking away his part. unless you can provide me a symmetry breaker. Also i would disagree that this is purely figurative, i do believe the book of life will be opened and the books of the works men have done in their life. Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
What if a beleiver stops believing? Do you think he or she will still make it into heaven? Think about it bro. Your postion on whether a beleiver can lose their salvation is skewed. If you want eternal security just do 2Peter 1: 5-13 and you do not have to worry about it. Interesting Peter says "add to your faith" in verse 5. Check it out my brother, as a teacher you will be judged harsher, you need to be correct in how you divide the word of truth and then teach it. Be humble and check it out.
2 Tim 2:13 "If we believe not, yet he abides faithful, he cannot deny himself." "Believe not" is the Greek word Apisteo (A- negating, pisteo, believe) Hence, even if we disbelieve, God remains faithful to his promise of eternal life. All instances of apisteo are about unbelief, whether of believers or unbelievers. John 3:18, the basis of condemnation is for a person who "has not believed". If you have believed at one point, and stopped believing, you can never fall under the group who "has not believed". Hence, you cannot be condemned to hell. For 2 Peter, of course I agree a believer should add virtues to their faith and do good works. But be careful to conflate good works (law keeping), with the requirement for salvation (one time trust in Christ as savior). I understand the higher standard for teachers, but that should not dissuade you from teaching so long as you are cautious. I've written multiple books and studied for a fair bit so I'm confident in the soteriology of Free Grace. I appreciate the word of caution. I don't mind discussing further, but can't do much on yt comments.
