- The Fabulous Thunderbirds perform "Wrap It Up" live at the Farm Aid concert in Austin, Texas on July 4, 1986. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help - what can you do?
Why didn't we hear about them when this song was made. I first heard about them maybe a year or so back. I can listen to this song over and over and over and never get tired of it.
Everyone heard about them, they were very popular. They didn't write this song. It's a Sam & Dave tune from the 60's, written by Porter and Hayes.
Because we were too young to be aware of it? Everybody was listening to alternative rock when I was in my 20s.
@@Gregor9043 Agreed. This song came out in '86 and it was everywhere.
Jimmie was famous first, and was known as the hottest guitarist in Texas when Stevie Ray was coming up. The T-Birds made some highly regarded blues albums in the early 80s, but it all seemed very low-budget. When Stevie Ray broke it open, a major label and major producer (dave edmunds) took a flyer. This and TUFF ENUFF were big hits in the mid 80s. SO was POWERFUL STUFF from the Cocktail soundtrck.
That's a really good band live. Love these guy's for some great music.
Live from Austin Texas
Hell yeah, , I say this to my sister every Easter, and sometimes on thanksgiving and Christmas, only because I work nights, lol
Definitely one of their best songs! Thanks for posting.
One of the many great tunes by David Porter and Isaac Hayes
Actually, a classic written by Hayes and Porter, and first sung by Sam and Dave.
There is no hipper band than the T Birds, especially the first lineup.
I was there!!
a great lead in can become immortal. This one of them
This was actually Farm Aid II, or the second year of Farm Aid. Was held at a horsetrack outside of Austin called Manor Downs. Brother Stevie performed at this one as well.
Was there it was 🔥🔥🔥
Sam & Dave Cover … nice job !!
Who knew that Andy Kaufman was the lead singer ? Wow he was such a talent.
Great tune
This is good music.
watching this today while Texas is under a deep freeze and getting wrecked
I miss the Hamond.
I Miss the M
I was there
So was I!
2:17 Is that the Caveman from the "Even a caveman can do it" geico commercials?
yowzer
2:18 is that Big John Stud?
No. Hillbilly Jim.
Too short to be Big John Studd, but I wouldn't want to get on that guy's bad side either.
I know I’m late to the game here but, why is Jimmy Vaughn packing a six shooter on his hip and are those spurs on his boots? Was Jimmy expecting trouble that might make him late for the bull riding contest? I know he was just trying to add some visual entertainment. Not necessary when your band is that cool.
Good to see Hillbilly Jim off to the right.
nobody playing the keys? 🧐
Fran the drummer must have thought they were doing Tuff Enuff when Kim counted them in
Jimmy Vaughan is a great blues guitarist just like older brother Stevie Ray
pretty sure Jimmy is older.
