Why would he joke around like this? It doesn’t make sense for him to do and, he can’t even if he wanted to. Pat should know this.

Pat thinks he took it out but I don't think he understands why Steve still has that mode. I'm assuming since it might be the soul or pat just took away a part and nothing more. Steve's parts could just be parts to help him in a physical way and not in the actual taking a certain mode away. More or less Bryan built him, so if you are gonna take a part to stop the animictronic from doing something he would know since to actually understand Steve as an animatronic you need his actual blue prints to figure him out.
