wouldnt be cool as cheap digital pins like this arte normally garbage when it comes to nuging a table as any good pin player will tell you nudging is essential to having big scores
I just bought the Sharpin Mini last week! What great timing on this review ETA PRIME. I love mine and would absolutely recommend. I really enjoy displaying it above my desk and showing it off! It is just so unique and fun.
Just wanted to say…. Thanks for telling us what these items cost. The only downside to your prior videos were you never discussing cost. Some setups you demo are amazing!!!! But at $1,000+ it ought to be. 😢 Knowing what an item costs is a huge factor in choice and I appreciate having that info right up front! ❤
It's been on an upswing for the last decade or so. the extremely high $ for machines make it tough to open new halls though. Lots of new tables out there these days .
Search for “arcade button kit”. It will give you a usb input board and buttons, you just plug the buttons into the controller board and plug the usb into a computer. The screen could just be an old laptop that you unscrewed the hinge and flipped around, or a windows tablet to be even simpler. Put it in a box and you’re done.
HURRAY A PINBALL REVIEW .. BEEN WAITING YEARS FOR THIS . I JUST SOLD MY 22 INCH SHARPIN ULTRA TO FUND MY NEW BEELINK GTR6 , THE ZEN GAMES ARE GREAT , EXTRA TABLES ONLY COST ABOUT $2 , ALSO THE WILLIAMS COLLECTION IS A MUST PLAY , MEDIEVAL MADNESS IS SUPREME
I could see a philanthropist donating a few of these to retirement homes. I am on the tail end of the gen-x & grew up on the East Coast of the US & every Video Arcade had just as many pinball machines as video games & just as popular, but every one I knew liked pinball more for one BIG reason, if you were good, you could play all day on one quarter, or even rack up games on a machine & sell them. And when it came to video games I can only think of 3 games you could play all day on, Donkey King, & Pac-Man & Miss Pac-Man (with an honorable mention to Space Invaders). But most arcades would crank up their settings so high they'd be unplayable for someone new to the video games. They'd do the same involving pinball machines, by maxing out their tilt & leaving in weak flippers, or maybe installing them. But Pinball is a truly skill based game, something not really seen in video games, unless you count memorizing what the game does is a skill.
I didn't know sharpin made this kit. Good idea for someone like me who has a vpin unit but wants to play at night in the bedroom. I wish you could do a video on adding the extra screen for dmd
Okay so what are we getting for the money here? A cheap tablet, a bit of nicely vinyl graphic'd MDF and a few standard arcade controller buttons. This doesn't seem that great a deal but then maybe that's because it's not my jam. Do folk in the comments genuinely see this as a good product?
You should see if AtGames will send you their new Micro Pinball to review, it's pretty slick looking. Love my big Legends Pinball, but it's tempting to get a little one I could potentially drag over to a buddy's house lmao.
I'll start off by saying that I love your content. I've been following you channel for many years now. I really like this, but it'd be great it you could actually show how to build something like this from scratch. Not the physical box, necessarily, but something like an Android box that could run theses tables, controls that would work with it a so on. It might be a lot of work and not something you're too interested in though. Anyway, thanks for the great content.
Hey this looks pretty cool,it would be really cool for me to try adding duckstation for just having one of my favorite pinball games which is Power Rangers Zeo full tilt battle pinball but im not sure if that game would look alright vertically
I would love it if someone would make mods for all those old video pinball games, like Space Cadet, Epic Pinball or Pokémon Pinball to work with things like this. They would need to make them work in full screen on vertical display though.
In the USA…what type of tablet would you recommend to use with the $99 kit? Ideally, something from Best Buy or Amazon. Could you do custom artwork on the side and what would it have to be printed on?
The full sized PC Virtual Pinball machines are great, even have 3D tracking of the player, that uses a X-Box Kinect , that can fool people into thinking they're real, I could see them being very popular with Boomers & Gen-X, & anyone that loves Pinball.
No they dont fool any one in to thinking they are real I played on £20k digital pinball all the latest gear it was amazing but still dont even come close to the real thing still
As a boomer who probably has played 1000's of hours of real pinball in the 80's & 90's. I don't see me ever making the complete switch to virtual pinball. I might invest in this mini-version because I am sure it could be fun too. But to each their own, I am sure there are plenty of people of all ages who would love something like this.
@@michaelmoss5476 I wasn't thinking of the mini crap, the full sized tables, that have every table ever made .... just woke up after turkey coma 5 hour nap, took me 10 mins to type this, brain isn't working, Merry Christmas!
Yeah, it’s a pretty sweet little table. Not at its current price of 450 (I missed the Black Friday 339 price, so I’ll wait til it dips below 300 to consider it).
Something like this with a 42-50" TV laying flat Infront of you, giving the view of a real pinball table, now that would be cool. I just would need the cables/buttons and I could build one...
Great demo of this Vpin. Would it be possible to break this down and put it into an Arcade 1up pinball cabinet with a 32" TV? Rewire the buttons to that larger cabinet, still utilize the tablet's accelerometer. but HDMI out or something to the new 32" TV? I'd love the option to buy/play all of those tables, but WITHOUT having to use a computer to do it. I just don't want a computer in my game room. Thanks!!!
@@dademack3544 With a Switch hooked up to the A1up, you wouldn't be able to use the cab's flipper buttons (or maybe they can be rewired?). Also, the physical nudging of the cab wouldn't work (unless there's a workaround for that?). PDubs did a video where he bought 3Dprinted joycon holders that mounted to the side of the AtGames Pinball table. Cool, but he's still just using the joycons.
that’s ok. we have 100’s of pinball games on our xbox one x. they are great on a big screen. but 64gb will not hold enuff and that tiny screen is way way too small. looks fun tho.
Wish I was a kid. Would have loved to have this. They had crap when I was a kid. Mini crappy pinball machine with a few bells and bumpers. That was it.
Is there a similar adjustable arcade machine with an android tablet and controllers on it, where you can turn your game into an arcade game, and its better to have chips/coins slot in the machine to make money out of it, im a game developer and i would love to put my game into an arcade machine and put it in a mall or something like that
DMD is not the same as a backgalss they are two diffrent things in the pinball world and should never be confused as one as all pins have a back glass but not all pins have a DMD.
An awesome device that QUICKLY loses all appeal when you check out the website. EDIT: I AM VERY INCORRECT HERE, my comment was a slight jab at the price, but ETA Prime is reviewing the SHARPIN MINI V3, which is the absolute cheapest of the lot at 100 Euro. Much more compelling. I saw the Pro Kit and was like "NO WAY for $700, I'll make my own!" That's a pretty decent price!!
I thought so too, but the 100 Euro one is just an empty box with buttons that you plug YOUR android tablet into and use as the screen and cpu... No thanks.
@@GAGardenerKevin OH S**T! Thank you! In no way is a pinball housing worth it for 100 dollars. They made 20 dollar paddle adapters for the iPad years ago that were plenty good fun for the toy-like quality.

“The most fun we’ve had in the house with a virtual pinball machine” is one heck of a fiddly compliment
This would be cool to have on the bar at a pub or something. Can't really see myself playing enough pinball to actually buy one though

Ow that carbon on the machine looks awesome !
Thanks for this demo. This pro unit should have a slot holder for a phone to show that separate "score display" feature you mentioned.
I think we all would love to see a tear down of this pinball.
I feel a lot of nostalgia for pinball and its really declined in popularity over the years. This little thing is so cool and I really want one now!
