Around Christmas of 99 my dad was watching Blair Witch Project on the old black cable box with free movies and pov channels. I walked in the room during the ending sequence. I had never been so scared in my life
Excellent job on the video from all 3. This is one of my favorite flicks. I first saw it on VHS around October of 1999. I knew nothing about it except for a trailer and a 'Roger Ebert' review that I saw on TV. Loved it ever since.
Creepy's an unhappy camper. Such great info and commentary here. Y'all deserve so many more views. I always loved this movie. for me, what made it so special was the interviews in the first portion of the film that creepy ass mary lady describing the hairy thing she saw on the river. man It's just so creepy and raw and real feeling... And that old ass man who's like, no sir, .Yes i'm a religious man. Stuff like that is just priceless really. Really contributes to the realness feeling you get from watching the film.
I love the festive cut but what they left out which I thought was very wrong was the scene that Garrett's talking about were the guy with the yellow hat backwards he explains what the witch does so without that being in the festive cut when the end does come you don't understand what's going on so that was a mis step by them
I’ll tell you one thing, my younger sister who was born in 2003 loves The Blair Witch Project. There are some kids of that generation who do appreciate what has come before and that sort of appreciation has spilled over into their other interests. She is definitely one of those kids so, thankfully, she has good taste.
I knew it wasn't real, but I immersed myself in the myth on the website. That way once I finally went to see it at the theater, I was ready to let myself be scared. It worked out perfectly for me. I worked at Blockbuster when this came out. If you remember, it was released on VHS very quickly too. People got so mad when they found out it wasn't real. One customer tried to come over the counter at me he was so mad. 😂
I can relate to UB’s story when his friend thought it was real. My story. 1999 my friend and I were at the park at 10pm smoking as teenagers. Our 1 yr older neighbour pulled in his driveway, seen us at the park. Came to join us he was all freaked out telling us how “we need to see this movie it’s a true story about kids who are still missing” & “they have footage of them” lol. We bought it and talked about it for like an hour and I went inside tripping out and very interested in seeing it. I ended up getting the vhs. Great stream guys.
In the scene where they're running from the tent, and Heather yells "What the fuck was that?!?!?", she saw one of the Producer's involved dressed in all white, standing off to the side.
The cast of the Blair Witch Project actually started to come out in public a week before the movie even hit theaters. They appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. They joked that they were alive and well. This actually ruined my viewing experience. Because if I hadn't seen that interview, I would have been sitting in that theater wondering if it was real or not. I still remember sitting in the theater as the movie's credits rolled and hearing people around me discussing whether it was real or fake. My area didn't get the movie on the officiall release date. We got it a week later. I've played the PS4 game. It's ok. Nothing great though. Although there were 3 previous games for the pc. My friend had them. all I can remember is that he got them as bonus discs on something he bought. they were just thrown in as a bonus. 3 free games I think. but I can't remember what it was. Any ever watch the tv show Bones? They did an episode paying an homage to the Blair Witch. Someone is found dead in the woods and they find the footage where it shows they were looking for a some local legend. If you pay close attention, Mike shows up in a blink and you'll miss it scene.
UB says he can never go back to the film print after seeing this new disc. Didn't one of you claim to want two different versions of each movie in a release package? The restored version and the version of it without restoration? Perhaps that was what CK said and UB had nothing to do with that statement?
CK here I’ve always stated that a VHS is my preferred way of watching this particular movie… having different versions on these newer releases is fine.
@@DEADPIT I can't watch VHS anymore. Every single VCR I ever owned always ate the tape. I was glad when discs hit the market. I think one needs a lot of luck when it comes to VHS, and I have never had any.

Hell yeah man
The actors ought to be thankful they didn't stick around Hollyweird long enough to get invited to a Diddy party.
EXTRA BABY OIL !
Love the intro and creative black and white camera like view. Great discussion as always
Thank you... we keep trying to change the game.

The deleted scenes are an hour and a half which is awesome
That whole set is insane!
That camera filter is dope
Thank you!

The hardcore fans knew but the majority of the audience believed. That was the key!

SS needs to start making their Blu-rays region free.
I think there are legal reasons they can't.
I didn't pick up the imprint box set because I have the Spanish version with Blair Witch Book of Shadows All Region on Blu-ray already

I used to camp in boy scouts and camp grounds
I was a boy scout for like 2 weeks...not my thing boz
Awesome episode
Thank you!
The house in The Blair Witch Project either burnt down or was destroyed two years after the movie
We were told local authorities had it destroyed due to vandals and people trying to find it that were fans of the film.
The channel good bad flicks doesn't awesome breakdown of why Book of Shadows works

I want new box but I'm not buying region free player to watch it hopefully we get the new cut
I’ve never seen this movie.
You should remedy that!
@ I know I should.
Blair Witch Project is the best found footage movie of all time. Strawberry Estates was made in 97, but it is garbage.
