The crash site was my first ever hike. i done it in jeans, T-shirt, trainers and carrying a motorbike helmet. It was about 26c and i came back looking like a lobster 😂 if you'd gone up the hill just a tint bit more you could have slapped and tickled the trig point and got the one the most amazing views from the higher edge stones. i recently found out that there is actually two plane crash sites on the moors in that area.

    • @wanderingwhere
      @wanderingwhere  Год назад +1

Oh wow I missed a trig ill have to go back ... I'm not sure but there might 3 or 4 planes crash sitesni known of two but I thunk I've seen at least one more on the map could be wrong

@@wanderingwhere yep, literally yards away dude. I've given it a naughty rub a couple of times now 😂 There is a crash site just above this one on the map but I don't see any path to it.

I always worry when you raid your dad’s cupboard. Poor dad has no munchies left. My camping trip to the Peak District last week ended up 2 days car camping as my new air beam tent collapsed and flooded with my cat and dog. We all ended up in the car with the heater on. Great adventure.

Love how you read the comments and take advice pal not many youtubers do 👍🏾
Good to see you using milk in your porridge rather than water like I have mentioned in your previous vlogs 👌🏾
I didn’t realise until recently that you can use water, I have always used milk in porridge so I was rather confused when I seen you using water at first,
    my bad.
(Keep up the good vids pal you always keep us entertained 😎🤟🏾)
Also little info on the QUAKER OATS packet in case you didn’t know, if you look on the packet there is a line across that shows how much milk is needed, fill with milk up to the line 👍🏾

You make the first hole with the knife as you did, then put the tip of the knife with the blade facing away from you and start pushing from down upwards going unti-clock wise, slowly and surely 😁!!!

told u there is more crash sites bro : Kepwick Moor/Arden Great Moor an area of the North Yorkshire Moors with a number of Handley Page Halifax crashes within quite a close proximity .
In the shot above can be seen a cross placed there to commemerate the loss of LL178 .
Many experts have searched the area of the moor here and concluded that this is actually the crash site of EB181 . There is though no trace now on the surface . It is claimed that fragments of wreckage are combined at the real LL178 crash location . That may or may not be the case , whilst it is reletively close it is still far enough away to make it an imposition to move wreckge to that location . With a number of nearer old quarry workings closer by it would have made more sense to dump fragments in those .
Anyway , This shot of a memorial to LL178 and is at the site of EB181 crash site .
In the distance can be seen the private woods of Arden Hall , another Halifax (JD174) carrying a bomb load crashed into those woods . Aircraft crash enthusiasts are not welcome there due to some dubious behavior from over zealous wreckage collectors in the past .
EB181 crashed in poor visibility from simply being not high enough , two crewmen initially survived the crash , one dying later from his injuries leaving a sole survivor .The men who died were
    F/O Raymond H. Highsted Pilot
    Sgt John C. Mitchell Navigator
Sgt Frederick J. Luckett Bomb Aimer
F/Sgt John J. Timmins Flt Engineer
    Sgt James Nelson Air Gunner
Sgt Herbert P. Durtnall Charlton Air Gunner (died later of his injuries, 9.10.43) .
    The man who survived
Sgt Charles F. West Wirless Operator / Air Gunner
They were flying on a cross country exercise from RAF Croft . the aircraft hit the hill on the return leg to the airfield just after midnight at the start of a new day 28th September 1943.
The aircraft did not burn and must have remained largely intact or surely there would have been more fragments still in location on the moor .

If you haven't got a tin opener.. Use a sharp knife.. But don't cut around the tin... Cut a cross in the top of the tin and prise open the lid... 👍

The driver from Aberdeen to Glasgow was Hillarious man. Said if anyone leaves their phone or tablet on the bus, he's selling it on ebay to fuel his heroin addiction. Everyone bursts out laughing and he says "obviously I'm joking guys, it's a crack addiction. But I've never found a phone or laptop or had to fill out a missing property forum once since I've been working here! Haha"
So I asked him when he started working here, he replies
    "Last Wednesday mate" 😅😅😂
Cancels a lot on you but after rebookjng and partial refunds, the bus ride itself was smooth man and no haste whatsoever. Bus driver brightened everyone's day up. Even had a big African fellow pissing himself at when saying over tannoy
"now entering Glasgow, please use this number for police Scotland 999 for when your personal items are robbed by one of the lovely friendly locals of Glasgow" 😂❤
