@@PricklyPoohBear Same!! Who the heck would leave after seeing an event like that especially as a photographer! cmon man! I was hoping for a video too, wouldve been way more interesting.
Not that it matters much to the outcome , but it makes more sense that the eel is busting out through the crop of the heron than from the stomach. The crop is a thin sac like part of the upper digestive tract that sits directly behind the epidermis of the birds neck. The stomach is further down below the rib cage.
A lot of sea going birds have holes bursting from their neck/throat. You can search several (I found at least 3 with all different birds) videos and watch them swallow something only to reach around, pick out the item they just swallowed from inside their necks, and swallow it again. One seagull continues to eat what appears to be 🦐 shrimp after it falls from the gaping open wound in the birds neck onto the beach. Another sounds to be Australian at a diner location and you can visibly see a a large gull swallow a single bright green pea only to catch/dig the same pea from the festering wound on the side of the birds throat, only to swallow it again, repeating this action presumably long after the camera stops recording. I've attempted to search as to why all these birds have the same home in their necks but can find no reason as to why.
@@anaalina5964 pain is not exactly a universal thing. Different species are wired differently to feel pain is the easiest way to think about it. You would think something we would consider a mortal wound to be painful, but many species can't do much about it, so they just ignore it as long as they can stay alive. It's near death that pain becomes a stronger motivator because the body/brain combination wants to survive.

I don't know, but it looks like the images are montages. Why is there no footage of these heron with eel trying to escape? And if the eel escapes, will the heron try to swallow it again? I believe that for prey like an eel, the heron will kill with powerful pecks before attempting to swallow. It appears that some alligators pierce python stomachs, but it could also be mounted images. This looks like UFO photos that are blurry and not footage. ruclips.net/video/IAuKwfYxUpo/видео.html . ruclips.net/video/GM9f45ISKGo/видео.html
That heron never teased vultures again for only eating dead animals.
*So you capture something like this and leave before seeing the outcome?*
Came to comment the same thing!!!

I think this has been mistaken somewhere and in reality they named the bird Davis

Imagine swallowing a living snakelike thing like this in one piece and feeling it wiggle through your stomach. That bird had it coming, honestly lol
No Animal 'has it coming'. Both are innocent and lovely, as all living beings and life is.
@@TheTyke they suck and both have it coming
Lol no they always do this dumbass the heron is used to taking live fish that moves inside them. This escape is rare

I think it was still on the way down from what i can find herons dont have a crop
Fish: “Were you killed?!”
Eel: *“Sadly yes… BUT I LIVED!”*
Mama always said chew your food before swallowing.
Note to self.
Kill my food before I eats it
...some smarter birds drop their prey from a height to kill it first
Heron: ah cool a snake fish thing, must be tasty!
Eel: *no*
Its a big no...😂
But both survived...
Ha?
0:45 the bird is our society and the eel is 2020
> this is fine, we’re still flying, everything’s just fine.
As long as the gov. has anything to do with 2020, it will drag on for many more years till the public wises up and quits listening to their crap.

Thanks that's interesting, ive never heard about birds having holes on their neck. That could explain the lack of blood too
hmm ok thanks for the explanation was curious and searching for an answer after I saw this video from a youtube birds channel
Can these birds not feel pain or smt? Maybe they have a high pain tolerance?

Might have been wiser for the bird to have killed the snake before swallowing it.
Yeah
maybe the snake played dead?

Are you were sick during this voice process
2:07 did eels really moved back in to the sand backwards?
Why is no blood on the eel or the bird?
I feel like something similar happens when I eat Chinese food. I'm always hungry right afterwards.
I was waiting for him to eat the eel that was sticking out again.
Just because a bird doesn't act the way we expect when in pain, doesn't mean they aren't in pain. I can assure you... that was painful

Schrodinger's ....eel?
The background voice isn't suitable for this

The great Houdini has struck once again!
How is that bird ever going to eat again? Or even drink?
through the snake ;)
I would imagine it was a gonner after its digestive tract was ripped open.
Horrible, absolutely horrible... And fascinating 🧐
dont ever let this person speak on any recorded media or in public ever again, please god

Bro why would the photographer leave? He must’ve been busy or something
The voice is too light hearted for the subject matter 😂
Does the heron survive this?
We live in a time where you cant trust photos and videos anymore.
Shots of a life time but leaves soon after the pics and doesn’t have the complete story, and no video of this event

And that snake eel went on to be a Golf Club measurer.
The eel is the guy that has the balls to kick a Karen
oh no that burd and Eel has mutated to symbiotic.
You would benefit from a covered mic, something called a de-esser, and a good recording engineer.
What about the bird?
Guess
@@thatvolvoguy6565 I found out it died 😞

Did the fish come out of the stomach and fall from the sky?😊
So this is where the inspiration for the Alien movie came from.🤔
It could eat it again and again...it will be loop-eating the eel forever!
So the bird died eventually?
Chill guys
