K.K is definitely the Greatest and the most versatile playback singer of Bollywood. No disrespect to other great singers but this is my personal opinion.
The simple reason why I prefer KK over others is that he is very down to earth and very approachable. Also, he does not have starry tantrums like others and does not give so many interviews and is not in limelight. Still he gets cult songs since 1996, all because of his humbleness and voice quality elevation. He is one singer who keeps the notes very simple and you can see that almost all his songs sound so effortless! Haven't mentioned this because I admire him a lot, but these are real facts!! The icing on the cake is that KK is the only singer to have songs/numbers for every mood. They have the most poignant lyrics and pierce your heart!!! Also, it's not easy to manage singing cult songs in Hindi/Telugu/Tamil (for more than 25 years).... 3 of the top most film industries of India. None from the "MALE SINGERS" among his contemporaries can boast of the number of hits he has in HINDI/TELUGU/TAMIL. He neither attends award shows, nor socializes much but still got kickass songs during his prime. Also, you don't need awards but just look at sheer adulation you get from the young singers today. I guess you guys know that all the top guns these days like Arijit Singh, Jubin Nautiyal, Mohd. Irfan, Ankit Tiwari, Shirley Setia consider him as their favorite and the yesteryear singers as well like Kumar Sanu etc. Just think of his versatility since his debut in 90's. I would anyday vouch for him than the polished trained singers coz he can sing in so many genres without any training. I will not call him under-rated ever. The ones who know about music or have worked with him know that he is a gem of a person, very very down to earth and has a crystal clear voice (just listen to his pronunciation and clarity) which pierces your heart. Not just covered most of genres and mood, he did absolute justice and suited each one of them. Arijit is a top singer no doubt, but given how many numbers and kinds of songs he get, ..he hardly nails the feel of 30% of them, ...no doubt he has some really good songs, but he kinda lacks creativity 70% of times, which makes him kinda boring. Where as... Sir KK is an Anomaly of idk what kind, he just knows how to work his way into your soul.

No singer of even today's generation is near KK sir He is outstanding and almost all the singers follow his style of singing.Kk sir was best among the best and we always love him and celebrate him.
Ek baat bolon KK sir ke song technically sabse difficult hain. Is liyey aaj tak croro main 1 bhi singer aisa nhi jo un ke jaisa gaa sakay jab k industry ky almost sab singers ky copy cats baithay huwe hain.
Any classically well trained singer can sing Arijit Singh songs but the gift of nature , the tone can't be recreated it once in a decade and always be once. Even recently in live performance a guy sung a beautiful murki in front of Arijit Singh when Arijit Singh sir gave him the Mike and the guy makes cover in youtube maybe. Something I'm not sure. But once shaan was asked to mimic kk's voice his said it's pretty difficult to copy a natural singer like kk. I'm not comparing kk and Arijit sir but this is what I have observed

Oh god people judges an artist through awards, K. K. Sir is beyond any award. He is a great singer because he feels music and music is his life line. He never become a part of race for any award. But it doesn't mean that he didn't won any award. From class second when he perform very first time he won first price and the journey of always winning first rank/prices began but he never sung for awards, in an interview he said that he used to perform and go from there and his friend (now wife) go and collect awards . His band in college won perform in many levels and won prices. He got national award(Tu aashiqui hai) , best male singer twice (for pal and khuda jaane). Award functions have their own rules that singer who used to make appearance in award functions are rewarded, that's why aamir khan has not as much awards as salmaan has (it's just an example). I do respect for every decision of K. K. Sir he has sung western songs but never work for fame be soo grounded and rooted. Proud of you sir. I have not any list of favorites I have become the fan of only my K. K. Sir.

Kk the most versatile, mesmerizing singer with an impeccable voice and singing style yet underrrated. God bless him and I wish kk gets a chance to sing more songs these days. Despite that he is able to sing in so many genres. Don't you call this GOD-GIFTED?? I would anyday vouch for him than the polished trained singers coz he can sing in so many genres without any training. I will not call him under-rated ever. The ones who know about music or have worked with him know that he is a gem of a person, very very down to earth and has a crystal clear voice (just listen to his pronunciation and clarity) which pierces your heart. Ek baat bolon KK sir ke song technically sabse difficult hain. Is liyey aaj tak croro main 1 bhi singer aisa nhi jo un ke jaisa gaa sakay jab k industry ky almost sab singers ky copy cats baithay huwe hain.

Any classically well trained singer can sing Arijit Singh songs but the gift of nature , the tone can't be recreated it once in a decade and always be once. Even recently in live performance a guy sung a beautiful murki in front of Arijit Singh when Arijit Singh sir gave him the Mike and the guy makes cover in youtube maybe. Something I'm not sure. But once shaan was asked to mimic kk's voice his said it's pretty difficult to copy a natural singer like kk. I'm not comparing kk and Arijit sir but this is what I have observed

Oh god people judges an artist through awards, K. K. Sir is beyond any award. He is a great singer because he feels music and music is his life line.
He never become a part of race for any award. But it doesn't mean that he didn't won any award.
From class second when he perform very first time he won first price and the journey of always winning first rank/prices began but he never sung for awards, in an interview he said that he used to perform and go from there and his friend (now wife) go and collect awards . His band in college won perform in many levels and won prices.
He got national award(Tu aashiqui hai) , best male singer twice (for pal and khuda jaane).
Award functions have their own rules that singer who used to make appearance in award functions are rewarded, that's why aamir khan has not as much awards as salmaan has (it's just an example).
I do respect for every decision of K. K. Sir he has sung western songs but never work for fame be soo grounded and rooted.
