I think it’s definitely in her top 5. It’s just so expressive and moving. Every sound is so ominous and captivating, leaving the explosive climax of the song at the end to add the perfect touch of diversity and emotion.
Oh I remember when I found this song early 2015. She had only just a thousands of subscibers. Now she is famous. I wanted her to be big, but back then she was our little secret. Room 93 was the best EP ever. And this song always be my favourite.
This is the best song ever created It's calm, dark, cold, and full of memories I love the way there's no chorus in this song This song goes, Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Then this part where the melody is so beautiful, ended with the part 5 which is so flawless It's like the end of the world, a new sensation i've never felt before Part 1 : 00:00 Part 2 : 00:30 Part 3 : 01:00 Part 4 : 01:30 Melody : 02:00 Part 5 : 02:30 Ending : 03:00
I think room 93 will forever be Halsey's most iconic piece of work at least for me. I discovered her right before she dropped badlands so maybe it's because I've seen her growth and im emotionally attached to this ep but there's just a different nostalgic feel that I have yet to find in any other album.
this is the kind of song that when you hear for the first time, it means nothing, so you listen to it again and again and it kinda brings out a deeper meaning.
You're dancing in your tube socks in our hotel room Flashing those eyes like highway signs Light one up and handt over rest your head upon my shoulder I just wanna feel your lips against my skin White sheets, bright lights, crooked teeth, and the night life You told me this is right where it begins But your lips hang heavy underneath me And I promised myself I wouldn't let you complete me Im trying not to let it show, that I don't want to let this go Is there somewhere you can meet me? Cause I clutched your arms like stairway railings And you clutched my brain and eased my ailing You're writing lines about me; romantic poetry Your girl's got red in her cheeks, cause we're something she can't see And I try to refrain but you're stuck in my brain All I do is cry and complain, because 2nd's not the same I'm sorry but I fell in love tonight I didn't mean to fall in love tonight You're looking like you fell in love tonight Could we pretend that we're in love? I'm sorry but I fell in love tonight I didn't mean to fall in love tonight You're looking like you fell in love tonight Could we pretend that we're in love?

Not neccessarily, some songs just have good tunes and a good beat. Not every song has to make you feel smoething. I certainly prefer when they do, but it doesn't just have to be through the lyrics. It could just be through the beat of the song, that provokes a particular emotional response or reaction
: Well you don't necessarily have to feel deep emotion, if you feel legitimately NOTHING the song is probably some sex song basic people are obsessed with.

This song is the most beautiful song to ever exist. Yes, it's about being someone's "second" but that's exactly what makes this song so blissful; it's because their relationship is doomed from the beginning. From the very beginning they both knew their relationship would have an expiry date and yet they took a chance on their love. And now they're both in this terrible mess, they're both in love but they can't do anything about it. And it hurts so fu*king much and they don't know what to do. It's so beautiful.
"I try to refrain, but you're stuck in my brain, but all I did was cry and complain- because seconds not the same".. The more I listen to this song the stronger the emotional connection becomes, and just wow. It's such a powerful song once you get to know it
even if i was so immature and young, i wish i could relive the period of my life when Halsey and this EP were my entire world and everything was just so simple and full of hope. I’m grateful this is how i spent my time on the internet when i was 13; i’m 18 now and i tear up thinking it’s only gonna get tougher moving forward. I miss my internet friends (which i hope are okay) and my little online memories and obsessions and how much i romanticized everything, everywhere. it came so easily back then, while now i struggle to even feel things when listening to music or doing anything. i miss feeling alive everytime i left the house and saw a sunset and i yearn to just get a glimpse of that euphoria once more, even if it’s a feeling so far gone. i used to dream about falling in love and living like the songs in this project (if that makes sense), having hurricane teenage years, when in reality i feel like i’ve wasted most of that time and let myself down. not the same.
There's something about this song. It will always be my favorite by Halsey, it's just soooo gorgeous. Whenever it comes on I just step back for a second and breathe out. I will never get over this song.
This song is just a masterpiece, I always feel so many things when I hear this song. Almost crying, remembering how young love feels, how obsessive love feels, and those ones that got away.❤
when I first heard this song I was 10, I didn’t understand it n it made me so nostalgic for no reason. that was 4 years ago. no one knew who halsey was. she’s just released badlands and was known as an emo singer. now she’s everywhere. I love halsey, but I really miss the old her :( I love you h 💓
You saw her live? You're so lucky I hope you know. I start to cry when I listen to the song. "Because Second's not the same" always fucks me up. Btw Larry and Phan is real!
Edina Dale I think you are one of my favorite people already. And same when she sings this live you can here the emotion in her voice which makes it 1000 times better.
+Summer Stylinson I wish I could see her live. But I live in Hungary and singers or bands doesn't come to here. Well I guess there's only the live youtube versions are left for me.
I come back here every so often. This reminds me of when I fell for my fiancé. I can remember trying my best not to show how much I'd fallen for him, as he was already with two other people in a poly relationship. I'm glad I stuck around
This song is so raw and real. Even though I've never been in a situation like she describes I feel like it happened to me, like it's happening to me. Her songs just put me in a place of experiencing what she's experiencing.
Halsey you have got such a unique voice where I think you got the edge on a lot of female vocalists because when the listener is hearing you, we get to hear all the emotions too and I am far far far from being an expert but that must be so hard to keep the concentration levels up there. I enjoy your music and I know you take the piss rotten out of me but don't let them try and stop you from writing cos to me you are the best and that's me being absolutely genuine.. Love and best wishes to your family. PS. Please don't joke around with me anymore cos it fkn hurts so bad..x
Every single Halsey song make me feel so different. They make me think about my life and everything that’s been going on and I always feel so light and free when I listen to them, I don’t know what I’d do without Halsey in my life💙
0:31 makes me feel so good. It reminds me of the sky at midnight and the way the stars are sorted out so subtly but so beautifully. It paints a gorgeous picture in my brain for me
This song helps me so much. I fell in love with my best friend (she's 2 years older than me) and I don't know, but I love her so badly. I didn't told her but my other friends found out about my feelings and asked her, if she could imagine being in a relationship with a girl. She said no. "I can't, it seems impossible to me, but I'm not kind of a homophobic, I just can't imagine myself being gay", she said. She didn't knew, but she broke my heart so much that night. I cried so much and so hard, I thought I'd never stop. I told her the next night about my feelings, I was so scared, I might lose her because of them. She was so kind, so caring: "Please stop apologise for it, you didn't do anything wrong, you cannot chose, who you want to love. I'll still be your friend, if it's not to hard for you, I don't blame you for anything." But I'm still here, listening to only this song and cry about it. I know, you can't force love, but I wish, she would feel the same.
i miss the old blue haired mermaid halsey. although i love the current badlands era halsey, all her current shows and style seem kinda fake to me but i don't know how to explain it fully. room 93 halsey feel more original and organic to me, maybe because that's the type of halsey that i first found
This was the Tumblr Halsey I call her Ashley. Room 93 was such a depressed and beautiful meanful album or EP how you call it. Badlands is a new starting, where she tells her story. In Room 93 we only get a little part of her and her life. She chainged because of fame. As you can see she is now not that long blue haired Tumblr girl. I'm here and waiting for her Second album, where we can get to know her more.
You know why I love this song so badly ? Just look at the comments. It makes us talk about our deepest beautiful story, about that one person we love more than anything. That is why this song is to me the most beautiful one ; simply because we're living it and not just listening to it.
I admire Halsey and respect the steps shes taken to become such a succesful artists, but like most of the people in the comments, I really miss this era. Not necessarily because she wasn't as popular at the time, but because there was more depth in both her sound and her lyrics. Theres a passion for storytelling in each song thay isn't rushed or too cliched, but she never strays too far from a genre I personally can only describe as romantic drama. There are points in this song where I can feel the lyrcis crawling up my neck with an emotion I can, again, only describe as desparity. Halsey still continues to be an amazing artists, even though her style of song has shifted since her Room 93 EP era, and I will continue to admire this EP possibly for the rest of my life .
i used to worship Halsey, especially before Badlands, I don't like most of the songs on that album and usually skip them, if she likes her music, fine, I just ADORE this ep, I feel like it was more personal though I know Badlands is VERY personal and the lyrics all carry meanings..
yeah, i tried to justify my opinion as clearly as possible, so rather than attacking me and complaining over something you have no control or buisness about, read the comment and continue, yeah? FigarollaAbusiva
honestly, i feel like this is the most underrated halsey song. its so beautiful, my favorite of hers. i loved room 93 more than badlands, badlands had so much hype and i expected it to be like room 93 but it was not and made me dislike the album a bit (although i have a few favorites like coming down, gasoline, etc) and i felt like room 93 symbolized her much more, as an artist and person. this song is absolutely gorgeous from all parts you see it. its catchy and brilliant, and before halsey was as big as she was now, this was my recommendation song. still is. i adore you ashley, and is there somewhere.
i miss this halsey when three years ago i would listen to these and no one had a clue who you were and you were my special secret. i remember going to your concert in Birmingham in 2016 and it wasnt a full arena. it felt infinite, i miss this
tbh i love how halsey is famous now.. she deserves it.. but what i hate is when people who disliked her music back then seems all over her music now, bcoz she's starting to go mainstream... ps. those people are my friends -.-
In general, Halsey's songs are a safe zone for me, and in particular this song has a special place for me.. This song can relieve my stress in the most difficult moments 🎵❤️
I kinda imagine a video for this song like, Halsey mets this person in a party or something and they like get out of there, and start doing crazy, fun shit, and she falls in love with the person, but the person didn't felt the same, so in the next day she never found that person again idk
That's a great idea ! but maybe in the end , I am thinking; when Halsey tells the how she feels, they just get up and leave ... But I'm spit ballin here 💁
this song makes me feel like im inside myself i know thats weird to say but i mean like inside my body Inside my cells deep deep within my spirit and its cold inside, Its cold and lonely and empty-... but yet i feel content... i feel free.
This song breaks my heart even when I don’t relate to it. It’s just that raw EDIT: I must be really unpopular if five likes makes me this happy LMFAO thanks guys
'because second's not the same' ' your girls got red in her cheeks cause we're something she can't see' this song is about 'the other woman' falling in love with someone that's already taken.
This song never really affected me until this year during summer. I just remember sitting outside in my garden and listening to this and crying out of nowhere. In 2015 I used to say I LOVED this song but I think this year I really loved this song.
It shouldn't change a thing if she's gay, bi, or straight. All that matters is that she is amazing and so is her music. So instead of worrying about her sexuality, how about we just enjoy her music, maybe?😉
Though it's a great thing to be here for the music, we cant ignore that shes also very important to the bisexual community because she so openly embraces her bisexuality. People like to ignore us or tell us that we're confused (even -maybe even especially- gays) so having an artist so open and chill about it helps remove some stigma towards us
When you're sitting across from one of your closest friends... He's got a girlfriend, and you're just a friend. You don't look at him like that. But then he says your beautiful, and then you have the deepest conversation you've ever had in your whole life. And he's the only one who sees you're not okay and actually gives a crap. Both of you care about the other, and both of you have shared the darkest parts of your pasts. And the other is still there. And then you're looking into his eyes and this song is on loop in your head, "I'm sorry but I fell in love tonight."
but now things are different you feel like an affair and another woman, he's broken up with her and got close enough to kiss you but didn't. so you start to let him go, let him walk away because if he really does love you he will come back. you tell yourself if its meant to be its meant to be and try to remember what it felt like not to love him
This album is terribly underrated. It's a shame how soulless her recent collaborations have been especially considering her capacity to write lyrics like these.
I feel you. I told myself this after my ex left me in 2015 and I tried dating again. Now I'm engaged and my fiance isnt the same. But its one of the reasons I love him
let’s not lie this halsey’s best song
Cringey Name Yah ‘,
I think it’s definitely in her top 5. It’s just so expressive and moving. Every sound is so ominous and captivating, leaving the explosive climax of the song at the end to add the perfect touch of diversity and emotion.
It's my favourite halsey's song
Makes me cry every time
Major Robinson will always be my favorite song of hers for sooo many reasons

This is the best song ever created
It's calm, dark, cold, and full of memories
I love the way there's no chorus in this song
This song goes, Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Then this part where the melody is so beautiful, ended with the part 5 which is so flawless
It's like the end of the world, a new sensation i've never felt before
Part 1 : 00:00
Part 2 : 00:30
Part 3 : 01:00
Part 4 : 01:30

Part 5 : 02:30
Ending : 03:00

"You're writing lines about me, romantic poetry"
even if i was so immature and young, i wish i could relive the period of my life when Halsey and this EP were my entire world and everything was just so simple and full of hope. I’m grateful this is how i spent my time on the internet when i was 13;
i’m 18 now and i tear up thinking it’s only gonna get tougher moving forward.

Lol sorry idk why I commented that
This song is just a masterpiece, I always feel so many things when I hear this song.

When i saw her preform this live i cried so hard i couldnt help it it was like a river just started flowing from my eyes.
You saw her live? You're so lucky I hope you know. I start to cry when I listen to the song. "Because Second's not the same" always fucks me up. Btw Larry and Phan is real!
Edina Dale I think you are one of my favorite people already. And same when she sings this live you can here the emotion in her voice which makes it 1000 times better.
its been a month since my concert and i am still im tears from her singing this live. i wish i can go back.
+Summer Stylinson I wish I could see her live. But I live in Hungary and singers or bands doesn't come to here. Well I guess there's only the live youtube versions are left for me.
holy crap I saw her perform this live too, been 2 and a half years since and I'm still in awe
I listened to this song while I read a sad book and now I can't listen to this song without crying
What book
briana savage All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
briana savage its an incredible book btw, if you haven't read it
+Katie M ooh I've been thinking about reading that is it good!
its amazing! it'll make you very sad though ngl but it's now my favourite book, you should definitely read it!
"and i try to refrain
but you're stuck in my brain
and all i do is cry and complain
because second's not the same"
Still obsessing over this amazing song in 2024. Hands down the BEST song from Halsey
I love crying to this song
Someone else gets it. Because same. 😭💔
Everyone is all deep and how personal it is and I'm here just like "I just like this song"

I come back here every so often. This reminds me of when I fell for my fiancé. I can remember trying my best not to show how much I'd fallen for him, as he was already with two other people in a poly relationship. I'm glad I stuck around
i found this because of my good taste of music.

Ps. It's the BABY Blu x
Every single Halsey song make me feel so different. They make me think about my life and everything that’s been going on and I always feel so light and free when I listen to them, I don’t know what I’d do without Halsey in my life💙
Life sucked before I started listening to Halsey
I honestly agree
I heard her sing this song live n i was shook n almost passed out😂😂😂 n i was blinded by her beauty

I'll still be your friend, if it's not to hard for you, I don't blame you for anything."
But I'm still here, listening to only this song and cry about it.
I know, you can't force love, but I wish, she would feel the same.
Nadja Gort this is scary but this literally happend to me a year ago
My friend wasn’t that supportive when I told her, in that sense u are lucky.
Mercedes Rhino ahw what happend, do you want to talk about it?
i miss this era
SAMMMEE 😭
i miss the old blue haired mermaid halsey. although i love the current badlands era halsey, all her current shows and style seem kinda fake to me but i don't know how to explain it fully. room 93 halsey feel more original and organic to me, maybe because that's the type of halsey that i first found
Era? What 2 years ago?
Same
i miss this halsey
+Alex Hicks finally someone agrees
This was the Tumblr Halsey I call her Ashley. Room 93 was such a depressed and beautiful meanful album or EP how you call it. Badlands is a new starting, where she tells her story. In Room 93 we only get a little part of her and her life. She chainged because of fame. As you can see she is now not that long blue haired Tumblr girl. I'm here and waiting for her Second album, where we can get to know her more.

ı like her with every style she make. Cause she is a person too. And ı don't thing she changed
2024 one of Halsey best songs ever With 3 classic albums already ❤❤❤❤
This will always be her most underrated song ever.
"I'm trying not to let it show, that I don't want to let this go" Same lol.
👏👏👏
You know why I love this song so badly ? Just look at the comments. It makes us talk about our deepest beautiful story, about that one person we love more than anything. That is why this song is to me the most beautiful one ; simply because we're living it and not just listening to it.
Serena Zago underrated comment....😢
Could not agree more.
asiri degisik hissediyom bu sarkiyi dinlerken aglicam of halsey naptin ya
i used to worship Halsey, especially before Badlands, I don't like most of the songs on that album and usually skip them, if she likes her music, fine, I just ADORE this ep, I feel like it was more personal though I know Badlands is VERY personal and the lyrics all carry meanings..
+Buse Gok yes... someone gets it. lots of hype for badlands but im in love with the ep far more than the badlands album. still great work though!
I feel like Room 93 sounds more raw and authentic... that's the difference i thought.
+Buse Gok Every fucking song is actually about her, and struggle with guys and her life. What do you mean for "more personal"?
yeah, i tried to justify my opinion as clearly as possible, so rather than attacking me and complaining over something you have no control or buisness about, read the comment and continue, yeah? FigarollaAbusiva
Couldn't agree more. Badlands seems so much generic. Room 93 is free of mainstream influence.
Miss Halsey being a little secret in a small group of people on the internet. this EP was literally the greatest.
"Cause I clutched your arms like stairway railings, and you clutched my brain and eased my ailing" that part is so beautiful 💕
this song is so good. i miss halsey's old songs
honestly, i feel like this is the most underrated halsey song. its so beautiful, my favorite of hers. i loved room 93 more than badlands, badlands had so much hype and i expected it to be like room 93 but it was not and made me dislike the album a bit (although i have a few favorites like coming down, gasoline, etc) and i felt like room 93 symbolized her much more, as an artist and person. this song is absolutely gorgeous from all parts you see it. its catchy and brilliant, and before halsey was as big as she was now, this was my recommendation song. still is. i adore you ashley, and is there somewhere.
No one's snapchat brought me here, I just genuinely adore Halsey and her music.
Finally I found one genuine comment.
Evelyn Chavez same, thank god

Haha how lovely. However, if someone was brought here by somebody else, that doesn't mean that they can't/don't love her and her music as much.
Evelyn Chavez Exactly.
This is such a underrated song. It deserves so much more recognition. The lyrics are so deep, personal and beautiful.
i miss this halsey when three years ago i would listen to these and no one had a clue who you were and you were my special secret. i remember going to your concert in Birmingham in 2016 and it wasnt a full arena. it felt infinite, i miss this
literally. I miss badlands era so much, I wish she still made music like this, I miss when she was our little secret, with her tumblr blog
Infatuation over someone who will never feel the same brought me here.😞

this might be sound rare , weird or whatever .. but i miss when halsey wasn't too famous , does anyone feel the same ?

tbh i love how halsey is famous now.. she deserves it.. but what i hate is when people who disliked her music back then seems all over her music now, bcoz she's starting to go mainstream...
ps. those people are my friends -.-
hipster wannabe
i miss her old music
Patricia yeah
In general, Halsey's songs are a safe zone for me, and in particular this song has a special place for me.. This song can relieve my stress in the most difficult moments 🎵❤️
This song takes me back to a place I don’t miss one bit but I’m astonished by how a song transports me in such a deep way
same, I always come back to this song whenever I feel sad it’s perfect
Omg imagine Halsey ,Lana del rey ,and marina and the diamonds does a song together I'll fucking die
And Melanie Martinez
Subscriber oh yea I forgot
That would be amazing all of my faves in one song
Alexa Salguero and lorde♥
Maybe Hayley Kiyoko?
I kinda imagine a video for this song like, Halsey mets this person in a party or something and they like get out of there, and start doing crazy, fun shit, and she falls in love with the person, but the person didn't felt the same, so in the next day she never found that person again idk
That's a great idea ! but maybe in the end , I am thinking; when Halsey tells the how she feels, they just get up and leave ...
But I'm spit ballin here 💁
Or this could be the continuing of ghosts (room 93) just a little more into depth with the story
I get the same impression. A musical doppelganger to this track/idea would be Bridges by Broods
awww :(
+Caoimhin that's a good song
this song makes me feel like im inside myself
i know
thats weird to say but i mean like
inside my body
Inside my cells
deep deep within my spirit
and its cold inside,
Its cold
and lonely
and empty-...
but yet i feel content...
i feel free.
ikr.

can't stop listening to this. it's like a drug.
It is a cure too
Honestly guys. This is the best song I've ever heard in my life.
Been listening to it since October 2015, still just as obsessed with it, it's crazy
It is pretty awesome 🙂

This song breaks my heart even when I don’t relate to it. It’s just that raw
EDIT: I must be really unpopular if five likes makes me this happy LMFAO thanks guys
'because second's not the same' ' your girls got red in her cheeks cause we're something she can't see' this song is about 'the other woman' falling in love with someone that's already taken.
yep
I believe we all know this..
This song is good but I hate it because it’s about the other woman and it hurts like hell

This song never really affected me until this year during summer. I just remember sitting outside in my garden and listening to this and crying out of nowhere. In 2015 I used to say I LOVED this song but I think this year I really loved this song.
It makes me cry also 😢😭
I am here six years later but honestly this song is the best
Love you Halsey!!!
People like to ignore us or tell us that we're confused (even -maybe even especially- gays) so having an artist so open and chill about it helps remove some stigma towards us
I love seeing civil communication on the interwebs it makes me so happy
+Olivia Fleury RIGHT!!!!! Why can't all conversations on the internet be like this
+Emily Ellis I can't even express in words how much I agree with you.💯
wait people are actually arguing about this
this song is genuinely making my soul hurt and i'm loving every second of it
A girl sent me this in 2015 I fumbled so hard
This song always punches me right in the feels.
more like attacks your heart *
When you're sitting across from one of your closest friends... He's got a girlfriend, and you're just a friend. You don't look at him like that. But then he says your beautiful, and then you have the deepest conversation you've ever had in your whole life. And he's the only one who sees you're not okay and actually gives a crap. Both of you care about the other, and both of you have shared the darkest parts of your pasts. And the other is still there. And then you're looking into his eyes and this song is on loop in your head, "I'm sorry but I fell in love tonight."
yep but no its broken me down again and again when that happens because then they just give up on me
I hope my story better than urs :(
but now things are different you feel like an affair and another woman, he's broken up with her and got close enough to kiss you but didn't. so you start to let him go, let him walk away because if he really does love you he will come back. you tell yourself if its meant to be its meant to be and try to remember what it felt like not to love him
Ur comment made me cry
Go find a man who will put you first
this was one of the first songs i heard from halsey.. ♥

This album is terribly underrated. It's a shame how soulless her recent collaborations have been especially considering her capacity to write lyrics like these.
my first was a hurricane remix
+Caoimhin Yeah, I feel the same way.....

I listen to this song when I think life is going to shit. It motivates me to keep moving and never give up. Anyone else feel the same way?
All I do is cry and complain because seconds are not the same
I've told myself this 3 years ago
