Did anyone else notice we never saw "them" kiss? (Correct me if I'm wrong.) I'm curious if that was on purpose, because every time they got close to, but it didn't happen, I felt like that made it clear that it would be a horrible ending, no matter how it "ended"...because the "focus" was not intimate enough for a kiss. Is that just me?
So they're going to try to improve on Jeremy Irons, Juliette Binoche, Miranda Richardson and Rupert Graves in the 1992 Louis Malle film? Good luck with that.
they failed. frankly, i also read the book and i feel like i know more about the characters’, especially the male protagonist’s, motivations, than the actors seem to. they’re focusing on such superficial stuff in their interviews. as for the sexscenes, i feel like they were more for enticing the unf_cked-for-a-while audience, rather than actually tell a story.
Though I adore the cast of the older film, it was a little too "perfect"/slick for me and I didn't feel it came up to the book. But this version was messier, and RA is not as good an actor as Jeremy Irons (one of my favorites) I thought he Richard really acted...and looked great...in "Obsession." Whatever else, it was super erotic, and that gets a big thumb's up from me.
Richard Armitage is very disturbing...in the best way, lol. I was thrilled to see him in this because I used to have a massive crush on him and then he seemed to have disappeared, at least in stuff I've seen. Pleeese do lots more, Richard! Charlie was completely believable too, and she's gorgeous. Perfect match! Loved this to the max!
I felt so shy while watching this. I have never respected an actor like a gentleman before. Seeing a magnificent, distinguished and matured man like Richard in that state felt awkward. I literally skipped many steamy scenes and watched those that didn't reveal his waist down region.
It was a good thriller! All the situation made me feel sorrow for that family and to be honest, this means that every actor made their job very well. I hated, i loved and i got sad. Its kinda harsh compare versions and book. Every one is a point of view and that is ok.
In mg view, RA is amazingly talented - as good as Daniel Day Lewis. Obsession, on the other hand, is a big fail. I had difficulty getting through the first episode. I've not read the book but thought the Jeremy Irons' film was superb, despite disliking the story's premise. What bigger betrayal could there be? I didn't see the passion between them, in Obsession, which would make a parent take such a risk.
Missed an opp to ask if the actor had a full on robot chubby during the sex scenes. That's what we really wanna know. Unusually in modern times the actress is actually good looking.
@@carriebradshaw2 Well that's pathetic. Th actress knew he'd stay dangling in advance of her signing up for th part. Not much courage on her part, or his.
@@kowalski-turniton6704 Richard is not gay. That was a rumor. But he is a very, 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 reserved man. And shy too. He'll never mention anything about it even if it did occur. Look at his mannerisms. He's much more serious & brooding in other interviews. Here, he's just trying to diffuse any predictable situation.
@@adflix424 Richard definitely is gay. He did interviews with both Pink News and The Radio Times earlier this year and said that he came out aged 19 and he has a male partner. And he has both a rainbow flag and a trans flag on his Twitter bio.
@@dimassenopatisatriojoyodin7057 right? It's very demeaning and dishonorable esp for a gentleman like Richard but actors have to do anything for the money

It isn't that bad, but of course Louis Malle and his actors won long time ago.

Definitely like to binge a series…I’ll even wait for all downloads before watching
they look secretly obsessed still .
Bullshit. They have zero chemistry. Unfortunately for the viewers.
Agree. They look guilty af

Gorgeous? She looked so much like Maxine Carr it was distracting worst casting
@@deepblack2193 I have no idea who Maxine Carr is so to me she's just herself. And I thought she was great in the role.

I've waited for this moment like I've been waiting for aliens to appear.. and my dreams were correct. Just absolutely a man of dreams
If Richard dies his hair black and gro2s them a little he's going to look breathtaking
BBC's robin hood 2006 thank me later
Love it!!!
They don't really kiss lips to lips like Anna and Jay had.

It was boring no fatal attraction contender

I just dont get it why women/men wanna doing sex scene in the movie like its a normal and nothing

Jesus is coming back. Believe He died for your sins and rose again then repent to be saved. 😊
Charlie’s nose looks so different. I barely recognised her.
