I had to choose between these two models last year and I picked the Lumix. As someone who is mainly a video shooter, I think I made the right choice. I think Panasonic is a bit more cinematic-looking than Canon or Sony. That being said, I would have still been happy if I had purchased the R62. Two great cameras.
Good question, couple reasons: we only had the kit lens on the S5II so every time we change the focal length, the f-stop also changes. Also because we’re testing it for vlog use and most people shoot wide for that use case.
@@PaulaMads I understand about wanting the widest angle for vlogging but that's not best for ibis and showing the corner wobble on any camera. I feel it you had a wide angle on the S5ii you might have had a very similar result. Just my opinion. Still a great video.
While hard to imagine, the S5II with v3.x firmware and the S5IIX with v2.x firmware are extremely competitive for AF. Considering it's PDAF 1.0 for team Lumix, this is quite a feat! From a photography perspective, pixel peepers really cannot tell which is what camera outside the EXIF information. Video, the ability to touch select the subject you wish to track and not have the subject switch to another individual moving in frame (closer or further) is amazing.
Thank you for being here! Are you team S5II or R6II?
Team Sony in the house 😂.
@@V-adventurous oh yeah Sony is a different ballgame 😂
Team Lumix for many years now. From MFT (GH5) to FF (S5 and then S5II).

Good video and comparison, thanks!
We are interested in knowing how good are the cameras when it comes to colors and skin tone. But you don't talk about this important matter.
Just curious as to why you didn't try the same or closer focal length ? For the ibis and wobble test

No autofocus image quality or photo comparison? Or thoughts ?

Hate the corner wobbles on canon.
@@V-adventurous yeah it is noticeable at wide angle but less once you shoot a bit tighter
