Money=freedom. I am 61 years old, I have a lot of freedom to do only things I like, but I am still living way below my means.

Thanks so much Frank and Angie... You're so correct!!
Your video today reminded me of a very sad video I saw yesterday..
The video showing all the insane rich tech boys and girls in San Francisco... and the pointy, all the lost tech boys and girls now living in the streets of same city, drugged up constantly... I imagined all these rich (in money) boys and girls, now having to litterally crawl over their former colleges in the streets of SF...money crawling out of their pockets... Do I envy any of them!?
Absolutely not as SF looks like a dump and, the only question seem to be, how long it will take before they're all living in the streets... and, I find it more than sad...
Thanks a lot for sharing and, have aovely weekend 🌹🌹🌹

Lifestyle choices can be too extreme in either camp. Once in retirement most people have to manage with whatever resources they have or go back to work. 80% of retirees have less than 200,000 in liquid assets and so are not going to be able to live off their principle for very long or very well. I am supposing the application of the widely recommended 4% rule. I don’t know anything about your past other than what you have stated here but I suggest that perhaps "Early Lifestyle” would be have done better to have traveled less and saved more so that today they would have more savings which would supplement the socialist insecurity. Things are not going to get better no matter which fake party is in office.

Something we see a great deal of is people don't know how to manage their money. we don't mean anything bad by that but it's true. They aren't real good at figuring out new possibilities and ways to make their money go further. Getting a second job in retirement is crazy.

I bought into crypto 11 yrs ago. It helped me but it hasnt been easy. I figure at this point we will just have to stay out of debt no matter what and keep the roof over our head.
