Hey Jon. I loved this video and you've done it again. I needed to pause and head over to Amazon and pickup Fremont and Scrapper as I hadn't heard of either one. I agree with you on Guardians. It totally took me off guard and I really enjoyed it. Great picks, as always and I'm really looking forward to checking out sone new movies. I'd recommend looking into Anatomy Of A Fall. Hey Stephanie, I have only heard great things about Anatomy of a Fall and I was very surprised it was already going into the Criterion collection. I guess I’ll have to add it to my ever expanding Criterion wishlist. Ha ha! If you get a chance to watch Fremont & Scrapper I would love to hear your thoughts on them. Awesome Stuff Jon! Some of my favorite movies of 2023 aren't out on Home video yet. I do have some of the movies you mentioned but haven't watched them yet. Unbelievably, Three of my favorite movies this past year are foreign films. The Boy And The Heron, Godzilla Minus One and Suzume. Thanks as always for the recommendations.
Oh man, I am dying to see Godzilla Minus One and I so hope it gets a 4K release. I know it had a black & white release too, so my hope is that we get both the colorized and B&W on 4K. Past Lives was so good! Yeah I don’t know why so many people hate on The Flash. I am tired of superhero films, but I thought this film was super entertaining with a great mix of humor, action, and nostalgia. Thanks for checking out this video!
Hey Neil, thanks for checking out this video. I am so thankful I came across Scrapper, what a great film. The film just gets better and better as it goes and I thought the performances from the two leads were outstanding.
interesting. I actually didn't enjoy John Wick 4! I thought it was just too much and too long but I do enjoy the first one. Guardians is another one I thought I would love and I think I will appreciate it more when im not so burned out but I love the original. I'm surprised there was no holdovers or something like society of the snow, feel those would be some you'd enjoy!
While I really enjoy John Wick 4, I do agree with you that it is super long. I had fun with Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and look forward to a second viewing of it. I have not seen any of the films you mentioned but I will have to check them out because your recommendations are always rock solid. Thanks so much for checking out this video!
