only 3 years old, ice maker & evaporator fan issues. Model: RF28HMEDBSR/AA. I called Samsung support...They will not help me. I fixed it with a hair dryer!
I am having the same problem. My warranty just ran out. I have had so much problem with this Samsung refrigerator. They said I have to get it repaired on my own eve though it is a flaw.
I think my thermostat is bad. Happened twice this week. The temps show normal but, its noticeably warmer. Unplug then plug back in it shows freezer temp almost 40f and fridge temp almost 60. Then temp starts to go down
We have had the repair guy come out twice for the same reason. Samsung is a ripe off!! Now our refrigerator is flashing 2 a. I had it 2 years we shouldn’t have no problem with this expensive refrigerator. It should be some type of recall!!
Forget about the refund unless it’s under warranty. Get in on a class action suit you might get a few hundred back. Or repair it yourself. There are tons of videos showing how. Yeah it sucks and shouldn’t be this way. So rant about it..then what?

Samsung is junk, I replaced that evaporating cooling panel 2 times, ice maker 3 times, never again will I buy anything from Samsung again, I keep a spare twin cooling panel in my garage, as far as the ice maker goes I've given up I am going to have to live with out ice😤😡🤬 Samsung refrigerators suck. I'm not an engineer and I'm having the same problem like everyone. I know exactly what the problem is. Pull the top off & block of ice stopping fan. So I'm thinking the heating element is gone & fan. Got a fan because of the stress put on motor not moving while told to by system. NOT good on Electric motor not moving while Electric current asking it to. Got the heating element to thinking thats the issue. But while I was in heard it melting ice. The issue is thecooling line coming in the top. Its not close enough to the heating element to melt the ice off. And over time that ice is going to build up until it stops the fan. It took 4yrs but how come I see the problem & they don't. I spent 51$ total for both fAN AND heating element off Amazon

I used a smart-plug and programmed it to turn off my refrigerator for 1hr everyday between 1-2am. I tried every damn DIY fix for this problem but only smart-plug method fixed this issue permanently. No more fan noise or ice buildup for me for past 6 months. Food stays just fine and it save electricity too. Defrost all ice before starting this method. Thank me later ! 😊
@Sarnt_Eskie update, I purchased a new evaporator cover assembly due to the previous one being damaged and leaking cold air in places where it shouldn't. Hence, freezing creating an ice wall. And It fixed the problem. 5 weeks have passed, and the refrigerator is cold and functional
I always said Samsung should just stick to making cell phones and keep out the Appliance Market. I sell appliances and always keep customers away from purchasing Samasung Appliances. Garbage even with the bells, whistles, and smoke and mirrors. Stick to Maytag, GE, Whirlpool, and Kenmore.

Everything I own is samsung I've always only trusted there products frodge,8 tvs ,3 phones, laptop,oven,microwave ect.. I'm thinking about switching the garbage that's being made these days is built to be rebought its ridiculous
Garbage company. Will never and I mean ever look their way for a dang thing. My grandparents gifted me several appliances from them and I can’t wait to finally remove them, might even take a sledgehammer to them due to all the frustrations they have all caused me for 3 years now.
Samsung is just the worst for customer service! We were driven to tears by their ineptitude. We jumped through their hoops over this POS refrigerator only to have to fix it ourselves. Appliance repair services won't even work on their junk. Samsung gave us less than retail as a refund. We spent $75 for a new control board and voile' their crap product finally worked. Never buy Samsung!

I have to do this about once every year. Then melt the ice block with blow dryer. I will not buy another Samsung
