I found an issue with the seals. Once you use multiple fuels on it, it swells and closes off the fuel line at the stove. I'll be having a video come out about it in the next day or so, and hopefully I can get FireMaple to send that seal in their kit modified to the way I did it.
They've probably used cheap NBR orings. You can replace them with fuel-grade VITON orings if you know what parts to order, or get them to send you the replacement parts.
It sounds like the jet is obstructed. This stove comes with different jets correct? Did you switch the jet when switching back and forth between fuels? Does it come with a jet pricker?
If this thing sold for 50 dollars, this defect would be expected and easily fixed. But I'm a stove guy who works on, repairs, and restores stoves. At 150 dollars, not so much. That's high end stove territory. What usually suffers with knock off stoves is fit and finish, like the mold flash on the pump that caused the leak. Again, that's an easy fix but you expect better quality control at that price point. At 150 bucks there should be no sharp edges, no flash, and all sealing surfaces should be ultra smooth. The stove not working after that is likely just a clogged jet or filter. I think the tool on these has a manual jet cleaning wire/needle/pricker. Even high end stove sometimes get a particle from the manufacturing processes in the fuel path. But you'd expect a built in cleaning needle at this price point. This is Fire Maple's flagship unit. Their most expensive stove by far. Disappointing. Given the range of reviews I've seen, this isn't exactly an isolated case. The bones are there, they just need to build on that moving forward.
I agree ! They did send me another one and I’m going to test it out. As far as this one, I was finally able to get it completely taken apart and it was a clogged jet. It is working now with isobutane however, I haven’t tried it yet with gasoline.
@@Skills2survive When you try again on gasoline, I recommend flushing the stove and line with no jet for a couple of seconds before installing the gasoline jet. It only takes a tiny particle to muck things up. But once clear, it should be fine.
Ugh! That sucks! It's one thing when a product just doesn't work as intended but it's a whole different horse when you could potentially burn yourself... or worse! That's too bad, I've always heard nothing but good things about this particular brand.
They have other products that are awesome and I love them!! They did send me a replacement stove, so I’ll make an update and we will see if it works as intended. Thanks for watching brother!! 👍👍😁
These things are almost a direct ripoff the the Primus Omnilite. In fact they may even produce the Omnilite for Primus, which would be even worse IMHO that they would steal thier own customers design. Its also barely less than the Omnilite although it come with the silent cap (a $50 ad on from Primus. I have the Omnilite Ti with silent burner and its the best LF stove ive ever used. Just buy the Primus one.
@@Skills2survive no. Gas, kerosene, aviation fuel and diesel. Primus is the only other one i know of. For overseas it works on those mentioned. For butane we have many stoves for that around our gear im sure

I use Primus OmniLite Ti Multi Fuel Stove Kit with Silencer. Never had a problem. But it is alot more money then most
Thank you for the warning. And Glad you are ok! I hope the company works with you on this.
They are actually sending me a new one. It should be here this week, so we will see.

Companies protect themselves. I am dealing with a similar issue with heating stoves. Be careful using any product requiring any type of fuel.

About the same here in Georgia !! Thanks for watching. 👍👍
Was the second stove any better?
Great video. I love the Templar Shirt!

I’m sure some of their products are good but it just takes too long to receive your order. Maybe a month from order. Lame!
MSR multi fuel has always worked
Does the MSR work on isobutane, gasoline and Kerosene? Or just gasoline and kerosene?

Yea that’s what I thought. 👍👍
Just got my YT back up on this temporary phone ( other one went kayaking 😁 ) Running behind . Did they send you another ?
Yes. They sent me a new one. I will do an update video soon. I haven’t used it yet, so we will see. 😳😁
