    I just got a Matt Diggity ad (for Surfer SEO) in the middle of a Matt Diggity video. Smooth! Didn't even realize it was an ad at first, was just wondering why he suddenly changed the subject lol

    Great insights on digital PR and the importance of quality links. For entrepreneurs looking to amplify their reach, remember that personalizing your email pitches to journalists with specific comments on their past work can significantly increase your response rate. It shows you've done your homework and value their contribution, not just the link.

    This is a fantastic overview of the whole process, Matt! You got it all nailed down in a 13 minute video. It’s very similar to the process we use internally. However, I have to say that creating a linkable asset is actually a really powerful thing because that page in itself can rank for so many keywords organically. When we run digital PR campaigns for site owners, those pages end up ranking for hundreds and sometimes thousands of keywords. Journalists like to link to visual assets or sometimes embed them in their articles. That’s why on average the we see at least 20 unique links per campaign, and lately the average has been 30+. I know it takes more time but when possible I highly recommend creating a visual asset. 😊

  • @davidfreudenberg
    @davidfreudenberg 6 месяцев назад +1

    I think that is a smart way to do it. I am going to update that to our processes for when we run digital PR campaigns.

    That made me smile. The amount of work involved for just one project is immense. Now scale that for Agency SEO or multiple websites and it is just not viable at all. You would spend every hour of every day just doing this and get nothing else done. Even if you had someone doing it for you the monitoring and management alone would make your eyes water.
    There has to be more to life!

    I would say it’s niche dependent. It frankly was pretty sucky for me when you calculate the price per Do Follow link that actually stick

    lol after seeing how much work and brain power Matt puts into an SEO project compared to mine, no wonder why my website is tanking. SEO is a field dominated by professional players with years of experience.

      Yeah same, journalists are taught to be critical about which sources they go with. Can't imagine a lot of journalists using data they can't link to.

    • @theunshaved1
      @theunshaved1 7 месяцев назад +3

      I think what he's saying is that he let the journalists write the article instead of having the Digital PR agency do it. And the website he's trying to get backlinks on isn't publishing the article, the journalist for the high DR website does the publishing and links to his website. He just provides data to the journalists that's formatted a certain way that make the article almost write itself.

    • @amex4453
      @amex4453 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@theunshaved1 so basically, don't publish your data on your own website first, instead, gather all your data and offer it to journalists directly? (they then post it on their media outlets if accepted)

    Do you find journalists prefer to pick up the story from a PR company?
    Or do they prefer getting it diretlyt from the source/author even if it is to promote my business?

  • @amex4453
    @amex4453 6 месяцев назад

    One confusion -
    Once we gather all the relevant data, do we start reaching out to journalists immediately? Offering them this data for a mention in return?
    or do we post the press release on our website first and then share this with journalists?
