Surprisingly, it isn't the song's lyrics per se that got me spellbound when I first listened to Olarenwaju. It is the slow, melodic tune. It felt as if I had been thrown onto a Ferris wheel, where I could become a child again, listening to a soothing voice that assures me I could conquer the world. There is just something therapeutic about Brymo's songs.
I heard the song Olarewaju by Brymo once and it stuck to my soul, I promptly sent it to my son Adetunji and reminded him how much I love him...

To me this song actually described the bad happening in our society today and as a youth it has helped me look the other way when I see my peers striving higher than normal. It said "ye ma suu re dagba o" which mean "don't grow up fast".
