he only cares about sabrina for her power and to use her to open the gates of hell, but really if you intepret the bible and all about him he isn`t evil at all he dosent lie hes an arc angel they can`t lie, but in the story of all religion and the fiction tv stuff if you really read into ot he is not evil hes a narcasist, and a rebell if satan wanted to destroy us he had prenty of chances to do it, he didn`t force us to do anything if you read the bible and listen to both of them its free will and we choose our own path and no one should stand in the way of free will no one can.
Lucifer being his megalomanic self/being kinda narcissistic while also being an overprotective father and turning out to really and truly care about Sabrina, while slowly acting unconsciously like a father figure (at times getting jealous, being proud of her, being authoritative towards her and sometimes letting her do whatever she wanted but with boundaries after no longer being in chains)
honestly, would have loved the whole of season 3 and 4 to go down a 'big dysfunctional family' route (with one Sabrina) as the Spellman and Morningstar families merge and work together to defeat the bigger antagonists of the show. Would have maybe given Sabrina's character more development and could have been just as emotional and even more funny (because more lucifer)
I'm sorry I love his character. I would have enjoyed this show way more if him and Sabrina Morningstar were the focus, I hated Sabrina Spellman. He is such a proud dad even when he's mad at her.
That's exactly what I thought last night when I finished the show. I wanted to see Lucifer with Sabrina way more. I don't know if it's just me, but it felt like Sabrina Spellman never moved in the show. She was still the same girl, making the same mistakes. It was just the same thing all over again. If Sabrina didn't split and just became the queen of hell it would spice up the show. Plus Lucifer is amazing character, it's pity we didn't get more scenes with him.

People are trying to convince hbomax to take over the show because netflix isn't going to do a next season. I hope it'll work - I'd love to see more Lucifer!dad moments!
