We moved our chickens to our pole barn, and put in a wood stove for some heat and we are getting a dozen eggs a day . We are over near the WV panhandle. Thanks Troy.
We move our chickens to one flock and zone 1 to the house in the winter, right next to the raised beds. Anything else is unsustainable for me as a widow working the land alone. We have an open air coop, and a run covered by shade cloth so they still had some semi-dry areas and have been venturing out a bit. I also put down a few flakes of hay which they love to stand on since they don't like wet or cold feet. Impressive plowing job. Those machines definitely pay for themselves. We only got about 8 inches here in NE Oklahoma, but it was enough to let everyone have a snow day or two, and the clearing was pretty easy.
You did great, all things considered, we are in western rocky mountains and we've had only two inches so far this winter. God bless you and your family and homestead.
We got about a foot in Morgantown as well. One thing you might like for salt dispersion is using a hand crank seed spreader, I picked up a cheap one off eBay and it works great
Troy, this snow just won’t melt! This last snow/ice/snow has been horrible. I’m located near Cabell County and we also got around 12 inches of snow/ice. I’m ready for warmer weather.
It’s been an extreme weather pattern, where I live we seem to be in a bubble, missing us but everywhere else is getting huge amounts of snow and bringing dangerous driving conditions.
We got about 6-8" of snow here in NE Arkansas...still here but melting...that's a bummer about your chicken netting...is it repairable?..love the plow...we used the tractor bucket...hope you got those two chickens back in the tractor ❤ Bonnie
We got about 6” in the initial storm, plus 1/2” sleet, then 2”snow in the 2nd storm, here in the central Shenandoah Valley. The long driveway to our house still looks about like yours. 4wd is necessary to get back to our house. We’re stocked up, and snug as a bug, as they say.
I hesitate to post this as it may come back to bite me in the rear cheeks. But, this is two years in a row where it sounds like you guys are getting more snow than we are up here in Minnesota. As far as I can figure, we've gotten, maybe a total of 7" so far this winter. And a majority of it has melted within a week or so after the snowfall stops.
None of those melt ice. They just provide traction. At the degree of slope we have for the driveway, we need ice. Could switch to urea which would be a bit better for the soil.
Impressed how well the Honda and plow worked on your terrain.
Same here. I'm surprised it didn't need any snow chains

Oh Dang Nabbit …Beautiful!!!❤❤❤

Great video! Enjoyed it very much.
Got the plow all set to go After it snowed. Sounds like me.
I was down in Gallipolitz, Ohio, along the Ohio river last weekend for the ice storm.
The ice and snow gave them problems they had no solutions for.

Living in Florida the last 20 years this brings back some memories.
Your Honda has 4x4 with dif lock. It works great in the snow. Try it.

Starlink has been awesome here in Arkansas during this weather.
Great video!
It looked like you really enjoyed it. I could since the joy as you replying the highway.
Almost no snow this season in Chicagoland. Roads are entirely clear and have been so far this season.
Very relaxing video I really enjoy watching snow being ploughed . God bless you and your family 🇺🇲 🇬🇧

You have a very beautiful property there.
It appears you may have inadvertently bought the electric fence mesh netting that is for "Indoor Use Only". lol
The plow impressed me, did a nice job.
Got 6” in nw NC
That is about what we got just across the line here in SW Virginia.
We got about 4-5 inches in the Pittsburgh area.

Michigan too. Maybe 6" total so far this winter.
I see a foot of snow in your future
Do wind chimes deter predators? Somewhat?
Finally First!!!
Troy
What snow plow do you have?
SuperATV PLOW.
@ thanks
I didn’t know if that was the name brand or your nickname for it!!!
Do you ever get stuck with your Honda pioneer?
Not yet. Just got new tires so that has helped tremendously.
Troy Why salt why not sand or wood ash or cinders that would be better for the environment than salt???
