The Supreme Court is not a representative branch. Their only responsibility is to rule on the constitutionality of laws. Congress is representative and writes laws and spend taxes.

So how do we pay for stuff that affects us all? Military budget? Environmental problems? Education for everyone? - by educating people we make society stronger. Steve Jobs' father was an immigrant from Syria ... his son changed the world. Sharing the take of taxes is the essence of our social contract as a democracy.
