    Nice job! I can relate to the boat work, keeping our 30 year old Transworld 50 trawler going and looking good is constant work. We have the original engine in her too. I'm so glad we don't have wood cored decks! Ultimately, it's a labor of love.

    I've built boats for years, you can also use a paint roller,the thicker the nap, the more agressive the nonskid.

    Incredible result man--strong work!
    I've watched many of your videos, and at the risk of sounding like I'm really old...you guys are wise beyond your years. I don't know how old you two are, but the things you're doing while young make most others' lives look pretty damned boring.
    Fabulous entertainment on your channel! Thanks for making these videos.

    Man, LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! I too own a 40 year old trawler that I just love here in Florida. Would be great if you could share all the anchorages with a short description in the Bahamas in one place. Once the boat is out of the yard, I want to do a trip to Bahamas but have never done it before, would love to know all the "good" spots for anchorages and food/bev places. Keep it up and have fun! Set up your own Amazon platform. I use Amazon all the time and am willing to use it.
    I'm sure a bunch of other subscribers would too.
    Love your channel.

      +Chris Baumgarten we are an amazon affiliate and post some products we use regularly in our description. Is that what you mean? We should promote it more at the end of our videos probably right?

      I'm not sure exactly how it works. I think it's called an Amazon Associates account.
      Example: Adam Corolla, radio broadcaster turned podcaster has whats known as a click though account.
      Your channel is getting better all the time.
      I have a couple ideas how you may be able to expand your audience.
      This is one, check it out!

    Someone tell me what are the big L shaped tubes used for on the back of the other big boat @4:34. Seems from the look of them, they are lowered into the water and shroud the props, for what purpose? Speed? Thanks.

    Way to go guys. Hope your crossing was uneventful. We have a powerboat also and I was wondering what speed do you try to cross the gulf stream and do you leave from miami or further up the coast. What is your check in point? Trying to get as much info before we cross next year. Thanks, Charles

    • @Tulasendlesssummer
      @Tulasendlesssummer  7 лет назад +1

      We cruise at about 5.5 knots (not by choice). We crossed boca to west end which was perfect. Last year we crossed Fort Lauderdale to Bimini which, if we did that one again with our boat speed we would leave from somewhere in Miami.

  • @ShaneMillin
    @ShaneMillin 7 лет назад +1

    Hey, guys. I love watching your vids, but the inconsistent audio levels are killing me! I'm constantly adjusting the volume while watching. Depending on the video editing software you're using, there should be an audio normalization setting. Or you may just have to adjust your music files to a lower volume.
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_normalization

    • @Tulasendlesssummer
      @Tulasendlesssummer  7 лет назад

      Dang, I know the beginning videos from last year were bad with this issue but are you still finding it on our recent videos?

    • @ShaneMillin
      @ShaneMillin 7 лет назад

      Yeah, it's certainly not nearly as bad as the earlier vids you had, but there's still a fairly large volume difference between your vocal audio and the overlay music audio. This may be too much extra dinking around, but if you were to use an external, perhaps clip-on mic, you would get MUCH better vocal audio quality. Audio quality is just as important, if not more important, than the video quality!
      All that being said... Keep the vids coming! I live in Wisconsin, and I love seeing what's going on down in FL (especially when it's 20 degrees and snowing, haha)!
