- I was sent a huge box of kits to share with Becker, so we poke in his box, plus I chat about new developments with my channel. Don't worry it's all good news.

"Flexibility" Capt'n H...Quality vs. Quantity...We ❤ YOU + your modeling masterpieces...Chin up...Full Steam (or Wind) ahead‼️😉
Plenty of wind with my curry diet Mike… thanks for watching
Sounds like you’ve got a good plan. Do what you like doing, most of your viewers will watch most of what you post as it’s usually very entertaining even if it’s not a subject that interests us . With your graphic skill can you expand your 3d printing line for those things that aren’t necessarily‘mainstream’. Good luck with the retirement, you will have even less free time now!
The cat seems to want more feeding the more I am around?
Harry, you are an oasis in the cesspool that is the internet..
Im a winder wall!
A happy Harry, good news. I hope it is up and up from here. As usual, i enjoyed your video.
Up up and away matey!
Bloody Hell Harry ! it's good to hear some positive news for once, glad to hear you've finally got a break. Believe me mate, youtube wouldn't be the same without ya ! Crack on y'auld salty sea dog ya !
Thanks Matey… good to back in a positive frame of mind
Glad there was a sea change and you’ve come out on top of a difficult situation, Harry. That “plague” really was a major blight on the world in many more ways than one, and we are still feeling its damned effects.
It was quite hard on me in many ways… I lost my partner to it as well.
@@HarryHoudiniModels oh my gosh Harry, I’m sorry to hear that.
Nice one, Your Retirednessness. :) Thanks
Semi.. half limp :)
Thanks for the looksee into Bill's box of classic plastic stash. Glad you didn't leave the tube. I just found you, for crying out loud! Have some curry on me.
Thanks for the curries John…. they were delicious
Awesome stuff your hanging around, and yes my Dad would say when I was a young bloke, the older you get the faster they go 😂 and isn't that 2 right, enjoyed and love ya rigging tools, do yourself a favour like Molly Meldrum would say 😂 don't listen to the haters, block and delete, plenty more out there that appreciate your channel and efforts, till next time take care and stay Safe👊 Cheers🍻🍻🍻 KC Cradle Mountain Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺😊👍
Good on you matey
I stuck through the video to the end and you're RIGHT!!! Do what makes you happy. Very glad to hear that the $$$ in your personal life allows you to do one of the greatest RUclips channels since the beginning of human beings. Thanks Harry.😆😆😎😎😎😎😎😎
Wow… that great eh? Thanks for watching matey
Glad your hanging around a while longer my friend..... and yes, I pushed the &@#$ing button. Lol
Brilliant Mike… buttons need a pushing!
Well , how serendipitous was the job thing ? I really hope this works for you . When I retired last May , I had also had a 54 km round-trip commute for four years . Didn't much feel like modeling in the evenings and I don't think Mary Jo would have liked it anyway . So , usually just a few hours on Saturdays , except for when I had to work on every third Saturday . Retirement really helped my mojo and creativity. I'm hoping your "semi-retirement" will do the same for you . Take care , Harry .
At my age you got to be happy with a semi… hehe
Nice kits, the MPC lightning is the Airfix one, the albatross is a rarity. At least this video proves there’s a lot of flannel on your channel :)) joking, just do what you find enjoyable, model on
I will be wearing my flannel from now on… and a hat, of course
Hi Harry My dad bought me this kit in 1969 I think it was...it opened the world of ship modeling to me.
It's a beautiful kit and would have loved to see it in a larger scale
Cheers
It is pretty big at this scale, however I think you can get much larger scale wood kits of her.
wonderful
I can't make this kit because I don't have the skills.
It just takes time and patience… you learn the skills along the journey
Great to see you in such an elevated mood Harry, and that you are looking forward to a positive future for the channel. Funny how unemployment can sometimes be turned into something that makes you happy. Am 71yo and I am self employed and still working full time because I love what I do. However, I have slowed down considerably since the ‘apocalypse” as you call it, and I know I should just quit, and spend more of my time at the modelling bench. Time will tell I guess. I wish you luck in the future mate, and we all know that the channel will benefit from your ‘unemployable’ status. Cheers for now.
Dole bludger Harry in retirement… what could go wrong?
Great news Harry! You certainly convinced me that modeling was about doing what makes you happy and I am delighted that you will also now be able to following that excellent advice.
Thanks Alister
MPC was an American company that had a deal with Airfix. They used to sell eachothers kits under their own banners.
I thought as much.. thanks Matt
Ow I got that kit of the Prince. Very nice kit so that should be interesting to see you build Harry. An I like that new tool definitely be useful along with your rat harp that I bought. When I get to my IMAI Napoleon and my heller Le Superbe
New Prince video out hopefully before the end of the month
Please don't quit I am glad your back I injoy your videos I do learn a hole lot from you and your videos you have a wonderful 👍😊 and great 😃👍 day be safd
I will Patricia
Glad you're back in the mainstream. Totally agree with you ref 9 to 5.
Yep… I have always worked salary or contract since my 20’s… punching a clock and dealing with traffic james every day really sucked!
Awesome mate. Life is full of surprises, sometimes good ones. I do hope that Becker is doing okay. By the by I prefer the crunchy toad. Cheers.
Crunchy Toad… we have Cane Toads here as big as cats, well small ones… if you lick their skin you get high! Apparently!
Sure glad you have worked things out. Nice box of kits.
Thanks 👍. Yes, Bill was very generous
Someone is making a giant beast with a ship on it. I sent him the link to this video saying, i think this can help you . His reply was with what?
I said with tuning you car? No wonder you wanted to quit. I have the insurance company messing with me here in America. I haven't any money. My thinking is that I'll do the next best thing and get you some viewer's. I see your frustration.
Good on you Bruce… your support is appreciated
Good for you Harry! Or as ths romans said "Illegitimi non carborundum"
What have the Romans ever done for us? LOL
No wonder you were getting burned out! I am happy for you that you will get some much deserved days off. I sincerely wish you all the best and take care of yourself.
Thanks Mike… yes I felt guilty taking Sunday off… but I can do that now
Good on you mate, so pleased to see things are working out for you. Really enjoy your friendly and upbeat videos.
I try to be nice…. but sometimes I just have to have rant against the drongos!
Great to see you back on form Harry some nice looking aircraft in that box 📦 from your mate as always happy modelling old boy all the best from here in the UK 👍
Good on you Anthony
P.S. I have built at least 2 of the Monogram Albatrosses. Great kit!
Good to know
I had the albatross as a teenager back in the 70's and it is a nice kit. I've got a replacement one in my stash I'm going to build someday 😁
Good to know Daniel.. thanks for commenting
Great to hear your sticking around mate !
Re: Anti-Fouling paint colour.
As young fella, I worked for the Aussie Company that built the "Fremantle Class" Patrol Boats (1980's ~)
The Anti-Fouling , on them was actually multiple different colour "layers" that "wore off" as a "visual" guide. A lot like Automotive "Guide Coats".
for Maintainance purposes.
The std Red Oxide was the top coat, over Cream, over Pink, over Black base. It all seemed pretty weird to me as a young fell 🤣🤣
But it did show the wear patterns very well.
Interesting… I might need to find photos
The Prince build will be epic, mate. I always wanted to do that when I was a kid.
Me too… luckily I never grew up :)
Good morning Harry. Glad things have stabilized since the last video posted. BLIMEY!, I thought I was watching your final moments on RUclips. Anyway, you have received a nice vintage Monogram kit in the Albatross. I grew up in Chicago, not far from the near suburb Monogram was located in.
ahh.. so they are gangster kits?
@@HarryHoudiniModels Aye! Morton Grove, Illinois is located right near the far NW side of Chicago. That's where I grew up. That kit is in original, or close to original, packaging. Quite the "vintage" kit mate! 😉
Glad you're sorted Harry. Enjoy yourself. 🇬🇧
Thank you Stuart, I certainly will do my best to.
Harry, you obscured the address on opening but not when you were stood up waffling. If you missed that in editing, I thought I should let you know.
I didn’t bother pixelizing the wide shot because I thought the definition would be so low that the great unwashed would not bother, or could not, read it. But be that as it may let them try to use that address…. it’s a Post Office, not my home.
I have the FFG in my stash and would be interested in seeing your opinion about the kit, till next time be good or good at it mate
I might do a box open review… don’t know much about them, so best do some research first
Pressing buttons again.
Always been good at that. 😂
F’ing buttons!
I use a oxide red rattle can cost a couple of sheckles covers well nice smooth finish.
Yep that will do it
“Good news is rare these days, and every glittering ounce of it should be cherished and hoarded and worshipped and fondled like a priceless diamond."
- Hunter S Thompson
Very true Paul
Harry please build the modern ship.
Too late… Becker grabbed it
Good news on being unemployable Harry!!!😂😂I am glad we brought you back from the brink sir. Thanks for sticking with us.👍👍😉That package from Bill was nice and it was good of him to send you and Chris those.👏👏
Bill has been a great mate I never met… might need a road trip to the Tassy isle and say g’day
Dont forget me, I'm in Tassie too, nice people here 🤫😉🍻🇦🇺 @@HarryHoudiniModels
As usual you have me cracking up!!!
I'm so glad!
Id like to try my hand at an age of sail ship in the near future. I am starting to get back into model building and attempting to make it my secondary hobby behind traditional hex and counter wargames. Glad you didn't quit!
Thanks matey
Keep on keeping on! @@HarryHoudiniModels
Glad your a little more chirpy this week Harry. All the best from Blighty.
A big weight off my mind not having to do the 9-5 grind anymore
I quit all the time i just dontvtell anyone
Gladd ya havent
Haha so that is the trick… ok I won’t say anything next time
Loved your enthusiasm in this video mate.
Yes I am a lot happier than last week :)
P.P.S. MPC is definitely Airfix.
Yes it is
Best of luck with the semi. retirement Harry
Thanks matey… I have it firmly in hand right now :)
Harry good to hear your staying, are you aware your address was in plain view when you first showed the box???
Only very small in the wide shot and that was a post locker… so no trolls are going turn up at my residence, just maybe hiding in the post office locker until the Postmaster lets them out!
@@HarryHoudiniModels Ok no worries Harry, enjoy the rest of the week...
Glad you bobbed back to the surface me babber !
Well as the saying goes the words always float to the surface
Nice one Harry , some good news for you at last , you look a lot happier , hope Chris is alright ,
Yes Chris is ok, just too hot and no internet at his place, so can’t upload… be he is making lots of models
@@HarryHoudiniModels thanks for the update ,
I'm going to buy the dead runs as well nearly made tool no worry Harry I'll buy those as well
Thanks Bradley
I'll let you know by the end of this month brad these are good
Well done Harry. Love it.
Good on you Andrew
Very nice of another Tasmanian to send you those awesomeness gifts enjoy, and get building 😮😊😅
Yes apparently they are not all crazy hehe
@HarryHoudiniModels yeah true, but you haven't meet me 🤫😏🤣🤣🤣👊🇦🇺🍻
oh my goodness LOL
Great to see you back again. You look to have some great projects lined up so they'll make for some fun videos. I used to frequent forums. They were good and bad. I made good friends, most of which I still have. The bad side was that I'd rush projects just to have something to post. I'd also get sick of "Well I'd do this." or "Why aren't you using this!?". I wouldn't, and mainly because I was building MY model and not theirs!
Anyhow, glad you're keeping well and I look forward to the next instalment.....
Good on Roger… lots more to come
glad you didn't quit mate
Me too
Glad you are doing better Harry 😃
Me too Robert
Welcome Back Harry!
Thanks JB
You are appreciated .
I appreciate that Bruce
Glad to see a happy Harry. Looks like a plan and one that seems to excite you which is great to see. Nice cabbage reference but broccoli surely for a man of your cultured tastes? Best wishes and I hope the sunny days continue.
I only steam my broccoli… hehe
Harry you bring a lot of laughter and joy to the hobby god bless you 😀
Good to hear Robert
👍👍👍
That’s a nice thumbs up Wild Buggy
I have always liked poking around in a box but im not sure about Bills box
I think he cleaned it first?
If you wanna poke MORE fun at rivet counters, and the like, high prices are causing model railroaders to NOT buy models of locomotives...and we wonder why I quit model trains 2...a model train focused channel has some details, channel goes by the name SamsTrains (at least, that's the first one I saw that was not an advertisement, or bashing folks)
I am too young to be a model railroad nerd! LoL
@@HarryHoudiniModelsIn my opinion, that makes it more worth it.
Looking forwards reward to the build of the Prince in stages
Keep up the good work
Some day my Prince will come… and it’s this week!
Hopefully you stick around.
I am very sticky
Good on ya mate.
From the pom .
Thanks The Pom 👍
Cool as always 👍
