The only time Lucas showed he actually had a heart, that he actually cared about someone other than himself.

the sad part is I had to become a full-fledged adult before I TRULY understood these episodes, as a child and even a teen I knew she had been touched and that it was a bad thing what he had done to her, but I wasn't even fully able to comprehend the situation until I myself was a consenting adult involved in my own activities. It breaks my heart to know there are really children everyday who are forced to grow up so fast and experience things like this beyond their will and comprehension. the mental trauma they endure.

Does anyone else love how Jane stood up to her dad and telling him to get away from Isabella or is it just me?

I wonder if Jane or Lucas ever told Mia what their dad did to her in that season.

This scene shows Lucas in a great light. I suspect that in the real world a situation like this might divide the average family down the middle, or unite them against the victim. Telling a person that their loved one is a rapist can be a very tough sell. You might think that since Jane is in the family too, it might be an easier sell, but the early sexual assault would have destroyed their relationship. When she eventually speaks about what happened, the family might think she's making it up because she hates him. "She's hated him since she was little."

I was molested by my own father and this episode triggered so much trama. I told my family what happened and no one believed me until he started doing it to my sister. It's so heartbreaking and feels trapped sometimes.
