I like how you immediately jumped right into the point of the video. It's annoying when people spend the first 8 minutes explaining what they're going to do, it's like.. just show us already!
I'm a little late to the party, but I can't wait for my Erin Condren planner to arrive tomorrow. I enjoyed watching your video on which pens work well for this planner. I already bought a set of five Papermate Flairs from Target for around $6. Thanks for the video!
LOVED the video! Thanks so much as I started collecting pens only to find some really didn't work for what I need. So far for daily writing (NOT on washi and stickers) has been the TUL (gel pen). I use it daily for work notes, planner, calendar writing for family etc - but has FAILED on washi and stickers so this video was very helpful. Thank you!
and thank you for including some leftie options! it's such a pain to find pens that smear almost instantly. my favorite ballpoints are the profiles and the harder to find velocity, but they smear so bad!
This video is amazing!! Thank you so much! I am new to using an ECLP and I was so terrified that I would make a mess with pens. This answered all my questions!!
Do the G2's write well on washi, as well? Very helpful, yes! So loving this video! I'll be using this video as a frequent, go-to reference! More on this, is much appreciated...
Okay, you just made me want to buy all of those pens solely because of your handwriting! Your handwriting is so pretty! 🙃 Thanks for making this video!
Thank you this way so helpful I just got my planner the Create 365 happy planner and I have started planning because I didn't want to get a pen that would bleed through. But this helped so much thank girly 😍😍😍
Love this video! I don't even have an Erin Condren planner (yet...I use Whitney English's Day designer), but I am excited to order a customized notebook. LOVE the info on the pens - I'm such a pen nerd! Also, love your penmanship! :) Thanks for posting!
Thank you for the samples, I am also a fan of the G2 for my journals as well as most everything I write on. I also notice you write your r's the same way I do... lol didn't know anyone else did that connecting to the next letter thing... and that it's not a traditional cursive r... lol
Wow this was amazing! I'm a newbie to the planner world & just starting out. I just bought the Sharpie fine tip marker pens today. Not crazy about them. What's the best to use on a laminate dashboard? I have the meal planner dashboard (?) and the sharpies smeared all over my planner page 😤
+T H E | S W A T C H | L I F E Definitely go with permanent!!! They won't smear at all and you can just use an alcohol swab to remove it (keep a few in packets from a pharmacy in your planner pouch!).
the sarasa gel pens are great for lefties also. I am lucky we have a store in town that has all the frixion colors in multiple styles. I just bought a ton of pens the other day but after seeing this I want to try the sharpie pens and the flair pens so bad.
Great video!! So helpful for people looking for the perfect pen. My favorite or at least most used is the papermate flairs. I actually love uniball pens but they bleed :( love your videos jen can't wait to see what's next!!
You have beautiful handwriting! I love all the pens you showed us, but the coleto, was my favorite any chance you can let me know where I can find it online?
I am just starting budgeting we are retired with 2 incomes once a month and disable on the second Tues of each month but all our bills is due on the first i will i start out budgeting i really like the way you do it...
Thanks so much for making these videos. I have a plum paper planner on the way and I was wondering if you know how these pens do on that paper? Is it different than the ECLP? Thanks so much!!
For washi tape a permanent drawing/technical/manga pen would be good. They take a little longer to dry but then are very hard-wearing once dry. The Copic Multiliner SP is very good and comes in a wide range of tip sizes.
Extremely helpful... Thank you very much! I LOVED using the erasable Frixion pens but stopped using them bec I put my planner in my purse while the planner was folded open and I noticed that something I had wrote had COMPLETELY erased on its own... I'm guessing due to it coming in contact with something in my purse... Scared the heck out of me since I couldn't even see any reminiscence of what I had written whatsoever... So I'm too paranoid to use them further even though I love them :( So I think I'm gonna try one of the others you recommended. Thanks again!
Pilot Frixion ink disappears with friction, hense the name. So it must have been exposed to extreme heat for it to erase, but it reappears when exposed to colder temperatures.
Awesome & super super helpful --- now I need to find an Energel and order a Coleto !!! Woohoo! Thanks Jen! (oh... does your sister-in-law make YT videos? I love her IG, she should start making videos too, if she doesn't already)
I love Pigma Micron 08 but I have to hold the pen upright for it to work or else it is very scratchy. Also love the Sharpie ultra fine point. Would a Staedtler be a good option?
Was this used on new or old planner pages for ECLP? I am reading there is a "new" less quality page and some pens that used to be great are bleeding/shadowing.
Towards the end of the video she has the names written down with all the pens. I noticed that she has colored G2's that say G2-07 and then she has blue and black G2's that say s G2-10. I looked it up online and the G2-07 is fine and the G2-10 is bold.
+LindyTN I wonder this too, but the FriXions (erasable pens) are pretty nice. It's heat sensitive ink so the friction from the rubbing "erases" it. Also they won't leave rubber dust like a pencil so the eraser will last for a very long time. The ink is not as vibrant, though.
I like how you immediately jumped right into the point of the video. It's annoying when people spend the first 8 minutes explaining what they're going to do, it's like.. just show us already!
is it sad that i want to practice your handwriting? it's beautiful
I love your handwriting!!
+misskimberly5 Thank you!!!
misskimberly5 : Me too. Your handwriting is beautiful

Excellent video! So helpful for an Erin Condren newbie like myself.
I'm a little late to the party, but I can't wait for my Erin Condren planner to arrive tomorrow. I enjoyed watching your video on which pens work well for this planner. I already bought a set of five Papermate Flairs from Target for around $6. Thanks for the video!
This video was SO helpful! I've always wondered which pens would be best. I also love your handwriting.
Thank you! This is in great details and helpful for newbies like me, especially showing all the color ranges!
LOVED the video! Thanks so much as I started collecting pens only to find some really didn't work for what I need. So far for daily writing (NOT on washi and stickers) has been the TUL (gel pen). This was really helpful! I just ordered my first Erin Condren Planner tonight.
and thank you for including some leftie options! it's such a pain to find pens that smear almost instantly. my favorite ballpoints are the profiles and the harder to find velocity, but they smear so bad!
+Jordan Kuykendall You're welcome! I know soooo many lefties struggle with pens so I was so happy to find one that would work so well!
This video is amazing!! Thank you so much! I am new to using an ECLP and I was so terrified that I would make a mess with pens. This answered all my questions!!
Thank you so much for the examples. I'm new to planners and wanted to know the answer about pens. Great video.
thanks!! it was extremely helpful and you have beautiful handwritings! thanks for the time in making this video.
Do the G2's write well on washi, as well? Very helpful, yes!
So loving this video! I'll be using this video as a frequent, go-to reference!
More on this, is much appreciated...
Well done! This was perfect
Great bold ballpoint with lots of colors- Schneider Slider. I got mine at Urban Girl Office Supply
thank u for this video. I'm new to the planner community and was unclear about the types of pens to use in my EC.
Okay, you just made me want to buy all of those pens solely because of your handwriting! Your handwriting is so pretty! 🙃 Thanks for making this video!
I love bold point ballpoints; I particularly like the profile elite… if that is in fact a ballpoint
Most helpful and to the point video I've found! Thank you!!
I loved this video, very helpful. I am now hooked on Inkjoy pens. I like the 4 color in one pens. Perfect to keep olor coded notes in the planner!
This video is so helpful!!! I have watched it three times! Thank you for posting this!!
Veronica fautzzi
This was extremely helpful. Thank you so much. This helped me decide what to buy
+Danielle Gonzalez I'm so glad it was helpful to you!
Yes! Very helpful! I love writing and color coding notes. Lol I dnt have an ECLP yet. Good job!
This video is awesome. Thank you for being so detailed!
This was a very handy video, thank you for doing the legwork!! ❤️
Thank you soooo much for making this video! It was extremely helpful! Exactly what I wanted to know 👍

I'm jealous.

+Sarah Caldwell Thank you so much!!! Hope you're liking your DD!
Your handwriting is gorgeous
Amazing help! Thanks!
Good video answered all my pen questions for my planner 😁👌🏻
Don't have an Erin Condren planner, but this is still a good video for planner purposes. Thanks for making it!
American Crafts Slick Writers are excellent for washi! They are quick dry and write on any surface.
Are you going to be talking about the fountain pens? hee hee:)
Thank you for the samples, I am also a fan of the G2 for my journals as well as most everything I write on. I also notice you write your r's the same way I do... lol didn't know anyone else did that connecting to the next letter thing... and that it's not a traditional cursive r... lol

I love you handwriting 😍
Thanks for this awesome video! I couldn't tell is the Le Pens shadow. Do they? I like a marker option but don't like shadowing. Thanks in advance!
this video was extremely helpful! thank you! i think I'm gonna try out the Pentel EnerGel. i haven't even got my ECLP in the mail yet. lol
Excellent video thanks

Very helpful, thank you!

+Terra Jade Thank you! I will pick some up to test!
great video
Great video! Thanks so much!!! :)
I hate the Frixion but I love the Sharpies
I love Pigma Micron 08 but I have to hold the pen upright for it to work or else it is very scratchy. Also love the Sharpie ultra fine point. Would a Staedtler be a good option?
+Lisa Fetty Yes or a stabilo! See if you can find an art supply store to test out one or two before purchasing a set (or swap with a friend!)
Awesome video! TFS! :D
This is really useful, Thank you :D
GREAT review :)
What kind of stickers do you use?
Which pens work best on the Krissy Anne Design event stickers? I tried the Pilot G-2, but it is not drying.
For the pentel energel, what pen tip size did you use??
If you use a Frixion, can you erase weeks after or only when you 1st use?
Was this used on new or old planner pages for ECLP? I am reading there is a "new" less quality page and some pens that used to be great are bleeding/shadowing.
Looks like the old planner paper since the headers have, day noon and night on them.
What would you recommend for glossy planner stickers?
Hi! How many mm was the pentel energel?
are your G2's the medium or fine point?
Towards the end of the video she has the names written down with all the pens. I noticed that she has colored G2's that say G2-07 and then she has blue and black G2's that say s G2-10. I looked it up online and the G2-07 is fine and the G2-10 is bold.
Veronica fatnuzzi
Veronica fatuzzi
+EllesGlitterGossip There are 4 sizes.
10 is bold
07 is fine
05 is extra fine
038 is ultra fine
Thanks now I just want them all and your hand writing. Lol
Do u have to wait for the g2 pen to wait for it to dry on the sticker
super helpful :)
How does everyone correct their mistakes in their planner? Cover them with something? It looks like on these videos, that no one makes mistakes.
+LindyTN I will either put a sticker over something or use correction tape! I put things in the wrong places all the time, I just cover them up :)
What size point are your Pilot G2s?
Pilot G2-07
