I agree with Dale you defo need to do more gourds because seeing what you have done at home you could teach folk a few tricks .you are blooming brilliant Billie!!
Those are pretty cool Mrs Billie and I love how you made that nest as well. You are such a true artist/Crafter, I love it!!! Thanks for sharing -Beverly
Fabulous Billie. I love it. I have saved gords this fall for painting on. Your video is perfect timing for me. Do you just store them in the house over winter. I have mine inside. I would absolutely love to see you do more work with gords. Prairie oysters come to mind for the bumpy ones. Lol
@dalemaclaren7576 Hello Dale. Thank you for your comment. You can put them outside to winter over and let nature do the curing for you. Just set them out on a board , pavement or just in a pile. They will be fine. Thanks for asking and I will try to do more videos about them. Big hugs...
Could you use vinegar to clean the mold off? I’ve been curious about crafting with gourds of various types. 🤯 That nest is so cool! Those are awesome! Love it! 🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗
I've never tried vinegar but I think it would kill the mold. I also like to use a walnut stain because it makes a nicer color on the gourd rather than that ugly yellow. I also seal with polyurethane for wood. That works real good. Not on something with a l lot of white because in time, it yellows. I hope this helps and I will try to do more videos with more information. Take good care, hugs...
