I had 18 years Old or 19 I first saw that movie in 2006 With m'y mom and it touched me to the heart I forgot the name of the movie and I found it by searching on internet ......beautiful...movie...so much good memories found it in 2023 and im 37 Old and Still single
The original song title is 'Sidottu' by 76 (who also goes by Sir Mildred Pierce) and was originally on the 2005 album "Objects in Space", though the song was removed from the album in 2008. 'Sidottu' differs from the song heard in "The Jacket" (which had a -22% speed change), but is commercially available for purchase in the Bandcamp album "Sir Mildred Pierce's Rubber Dancer Party". For some unknown reason the song has been misidentified as 'Fleeting Smile', but this is a piano composition by Roger Eno (Brian Eno's brother) that is available on the album "Music For Films III"

me identifico muchísimo con este film, son muchas cosas que sucedieron..... fue un cuento de hadas echo realidad, ojala lo pudiera contar abiertamente... algún día.. gracias David m por el soundtrack.
It has, but not in this form. This is a slowed down version of 'Sidottu' by 76 from the 2005 album "Objects in Space" (that was later replaced by the track 'White on Blue' in 2008). The unmixed version of 'Sidottu' is currently available on the Bandcamp compilation album "Sir Mildred Pierce's Rubber Dance Party" (Sir Mildred Pierce is an alias of 76). Unfortunately, the song title and performer for the audio heard in this video was never identified in the music credits of the 2005 feature film "The Jacket", leading it to be widely mis-identified as 'Fleeting Smile' by Roger Eno (which is heard early in "The Jacket").
@@borbetomagus Thanks, that helps. Years ago, people kept uploading the Fleeting Smile song and labeling it as Sidottu as well which made it even more confusing, BUT if you listen to Brian Eno's "The End of a Thin Cord" the plot thickens: ruclips.net/video/hnc6xPyNUss/видео.html as it is virtually the same song (which I only recently discovered because I didn't know there was an extended versino of the Apollo album--which I have--and made it triply confusing when people would reference the Apollo album).
@@G3SM 'Fleeting Smile' is by Brian's brother, Roger, but Brian Eno did compose the incidental music for "The Jacket" (and I assume remixed 76's 'Sidottu', though I'm guessing).
@@G3SM Yes, the plot thickens. It probably IS Brian Eno's song (from 1983), since he did all of the incidental music for "The Jacket". It's just too bad no soundtrack was ever released for the film, given the popularity of the track.
A really moving and haunting piece of music. I have been looking for either the soundtrack or a way to download the piece, but it seems to be a dead end. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Brian Eno did the film score to "The Jacket" (with numerous untitled pieces). In 2019's "Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks (2CD Brilliant Box Edition)" it includes (supposedly) a 'new instrumental composition reimaginging the soundtrack for "For All Mankind"' titled 'The End of a Thin Cord', which seems to be a re-mix of the composition heard here. It seems likely that it was an untitled Brian Eno composition, instead of (what I previously thought) 'Sidottu' by 76, which seems to be a re-mix.
One of the best " Time traveling films " ever made .
