I'm a Bama fan, & I'm not mad Bama didn't get in. The reason why is, because they did it to themselves. It's simple win and your in. It's the first year, & of course somethings need to be fixed. Hopefully next year they fix it

Yes, they lost to the #7 team and 2 bowl eligible opponents. So, what's SMU's ceiling? Two losses to the only currently ranked teams they played: #16 and #17. That doesn't come close to a CFP level team. Indiana is another one. Zero wins against currently ranked opponents. It's crystal clear the CFP Committee rewards generic wins over quality wins (SMU, Indiana, Notre Dame, Texas). Teams should schedule accordingly and schedule cupcakes.
