Indeed, a very well approach to the matter. Yes, it is currently impossible for humanity to achieve such. Although I do like your perspective I still rather want you to dive deeper in this universe to not wasted any of it potential, as it stated that the very height of which humanity achieved in that universe were all thanks to the Transformers, let's say what if "they" achieved the nano-tech to created things such as energon converter or what if that very fiction material was their cell and what if the AI was actually not "Artificial" at all?
(note: I did not read nor watch any TF beside the movies 1-5, these were merely my own perspective, please pardon any mistake I may have made.)
