It looks like the front part of the boom is much taller and shaped slightly different on the E42. I'm referring to the section up above where the thumb cylinder and bucket cylinder attaches. It is really noticeable when you have them side by side like you did. You'll have to be careful at first with the E42 sticking out in the back as you are now used to the zero tail swing of the E35i.
What are you talking about? Kapper will no longer be running his machine at night. He'll only work during daylight - daylight from the Sun or daylight from those wicked light bars. :-) The biggest risk he has now is distant neighbors reporting that they've seen a UFO moving through the woods at night.
You did good. Articulated boom on this one also. You won't regret having it, especially if you intend to do some side work for others. It does make the machine more versatile. Lot more digging power for sure. Like the extra lights also. Be safe.
Very Nice ! Double the HP , that has to be a BIG difference operating the machine . Very nice lights . should make a BIG difference in your land clearing/pond building . Stay safe .BK
Oh yes, that is a dang, dang good machine.. But, as you will see in my video soon of why i picked bobcat, the Kubota service down here is absolutely terrible... Had 3 separate guys in the building and excavating trade tell me the same thing... But I was even going to give it a try after i heard this just to keep an open mind. I called to set up a showing/test of one. I spoke with the owner, he gave me a good quote but said his sales guy was out and would call me back first thing next moring... That was a couple months ago, still never even got a call back!!! Those 3 guys were right for sure.... So, in MY AREA, i just couldn't take the risk of piss poor future service, but I really, really liked the machine!!!!
Actually, the orange dealer here is terrible as well. It used to be that with Kubota there was no need for service because they simply ran for 20 years. But with all of the emissions and electronics now I figured that dealer support could not be ignored. My bobcat salesman, Marc Rivas from Chico was awesome.
I wish I had one. They would put me in jail. I got 3 culverts that need to put in and some holes in my drivre to fill.A ditch that could be cleaned out. Still not enough to justify buying one. May be if I planed to develop other propert's.'
You know, I just won't say this to anybody. If you fly me out to the farm I will be happy to break the machine in for you. I know what you are thinking, this is really a hardship on me, but I am willing to make the sacrifice. Just let me know.

Excited for you Kap. Beautiful machine!!!! Hate to get it dirty..NOT.......
Grady Ingram thanks! stay tuned😀😀
Subtle differences but enough to make a difference depending on what your needs are. Thanks for pointing them out.
You bet, they can make a world of difference. Thank you and best of luck!
Great choice! I really like the changes on E42. I think you made a very good decision.
Ryan W thanks. I spent a lot of time researching 😀

I’ve been looking at both these models. I think 42 is def the best option for the farm. Thanks
maybe just the camera angles but boom looks bigger on your machine looking good
Now you need a power washer to keep it clean and running nicely! A clean machine is a happy machine!
Great CHOICE! I wish I could afford one!

Congratulations on your purchase.
I know I speak for everyone when I say we're anxious to see the first big tree or stump being pulled out of the ground like a tooth! :-)
BEAUTIFUL, and a lot more power.
Hey big KAPPER! THAT E42 is NICE! I would love to pull one of those with my Ford to help on some projects!
Justin Edwards sweet! let's do it!
So that was yesterday....how many hrs on that hr meter for today hahhaha . Looking forward to your first scoop of dirt and initial thoughts.
Did you compare and price a kx057? I love my e42 but would have gone 057 if I could tow it.

Some of them do, but not this model.

No, but you could rent one for a weekend!! :)
I have a 17,ooo pound 2 wheel drive Ford that's stuck all the time.
