OxBox crew: Makes first good plan ever.
Corazon: What’s this? An OxVenture woefully underpopulated by derailment? A large influx of BRICK oughta put a stop to that!
Not to be pedantic but an actually derailment is one that changes the course of the adventure and goes against the DM's plans entirely. Because this actually sped up the process of them meeting the paladins and telling them about the water, and Dob suffered no consequences for Corazon's actions, It's not a derailment.
agentsanta47 I’d still say it’s attempted derailment, because Corazon’s entire plan in that instant was “Get Dob in trouble with the law and then......... full stop.” which would have completely thrown off all future plans for no gain if Johnny wasn’t so incredibly lenient with them.

Between this and Dob being left to the mercy of Leliana because he couldn't say the attack signal exactly right, Corazon screwing over Dob makes the best Oxventure moments.

How did it take me a week to realise that "Out of Order" also referred to the paladin order, and wasn't just a description of how the Oxventurers act in every social situation.

I don't know what i love more: Corazon as Chauncey or the fact that every time Bearilwen need to drink she has to use both paws to hold the cup which is adorable.

My headcanon is that sometimes Merilwen just likes to spend whole days as a cat or a bear because why not
And alternates between riding on various guild members' shoulders as a cat and having them rise her back while she's a bear.
To be fair if I were able I would lounge all day as a animal, perhapse take a nap in the woods as a wolf, sounds peaceful :D
Isnt Merilwen able to shift between her forms with no cost? Lets just say she shifts to her elf form when casting then shifts back immediately

Pretty sure I caught a "420 blazin it" in there during the skunk talk.
Yeah, had to rewind it a couple times myself to be sure.
Watching this is a great example of why "Rule 0" (what the DM says, goes) is the only important rule of D&D. So what if tieflings are only resistant to fire not immune? So what if Merilwen can't cast while wild shaped. So what if prestidigitation can only clean a small fraction of Egbert at a time and has a casting time of 10 minutes each time. If everyone playing the game is having a good time and everyone watching the game is entertained what does it matter?

Prestidigitation only has a casting time of one action, so 6 seconds. It's pretty common to just say you're spamming it if you're trying to clean somebody up. (My High Elf cleric and our Warlock both have it. It's very useful after a swamp crawl.)

I actually like how into the role playing they are, it's loose but noticeable, like how Eggbert wasn't really enthused with partaking in the quest until he realised this is his chance to attone.
Prudence bullying Corazon for being a nerd is possibly the funniest thing I've seen of the Oxventurers to date, and I'm only 3 minutes into the video.
EDIT: Does Chauncy and the older paladin give anyone else a Rick and Morty vibe?
Well considering everything they said made sense, was funny, and they did'nt try to burp or puke after every word then no this has nothing to do with that.
I got that vibe too. Chauncy has a Morty-like voice and a general "aw-jeez" reaction to everything

So...Mike rolls so high that the paladins DEFINITELY BELIEVE HIM about their water supply being in danger and are going to look into it right now because of this--and the gang decides they need to sneak through the sewers. How completely OXventure.
And then Egbert proceeds to sully that same water supply with the entire town's effluence.
I mean, it shows they were right: they just didn't say WHO was gonna poison them all.

There's nothing bad about oxventure fanfic, it's stories and drama and comedy, not sexual undertones and weird shipping, most of the oxventure fanfic out there is written by me, don't be so quick to pigeon hole, mate.

love Dob's and Merilwen's friendship, but also how they're all sarcastic with each other. Dob purposefully not understand Merilwen's bear charade, Prudence pretending she has a clingfilm spell, Corazon disguising himself as Dob in anger and throwing a brick, Merilwen telling Dob to clean off Egbert as soon as they enter.
Basically I love Dob, I don't know if you can tell?
While Prudence is my favorite, though lets be honest we love them all, even I noticed how sweet it was of Dob to be the only group member to race to Merilwens rescue while being chased as the others just hid :D those two have a magical sibling like relationship in and out of character that always makes me smile and frankly a bit jelouse :D

@@michiev in my headcanon, that's why Prudence chooses to stick around to the point of even saving the others from time to time despite her alignment, because even the lawful good(?) pally is a force of chaos with a penchant for killing and burning sprees.
Something just occurred to me. What if Ye olde interpol is a real thing in Geth, and Dob gets in trouble for impersonating them?
Then Dob hands them a fake number for his supervisor who is actually his friend Bobby who confirms everything is legit and he'll never be questioned again and be fine like in that fabel Supernatural :D

Headcanon: Chauncey's personality is young Percival Milquetoast's before he got sick of being a wuss and reinvented himself.

I just want you guys to know that my life has sucked tremendously recently and I just went through and watched all of the Oxventures. these adventures one of very few things that have made me smile, let alone actually laugh, in months. Sometimes I couldn't stop laughing. I just want all of you to know I *really* appreciate it.
