    Another great video and I totally agree with #1. The ISS is by far the most advanced piece of engineering marvel in the world today. I almost fell off my chair when you mentioned the expansion of the O'Hare airport. I was there only once and had to transfer to Charlotte, NC. I was so overwhelmed by the size of the O'Hare, lets just say I didn't wander too far from where I had to transfer to another plane, and now its being expanded, OMG!! Great post, thanks :o)

    • @rooseveltdumornay4954
      @rooseveltdumornay4954 2 года назад +2

      If you think the ISS is the most advanced piece of engineering, then you haven't heard of the space station NASA plans to build that's going to be orbiting the moon. It's called the NASA Lunar Gateway.
      The plans are for a permanent space station that will orbit the Moon.
      The Gateway, is a component of NASA's Artemis program, that will serve as a multi-purpose outpost orbiting the Moon that provides essential support for long-term human return to the lunar surface and serves as a staging point for deep space exploration.
      If you think that was next level.😃
      Elon Musk is building a freaking starship.
      Elon Musk is developing a vehicle that could be a game-changer for space travel. Starship, as it's known, will be a fully reusable transport system capable of carrying up to 100 people to the Red Planet.
      I'm not done yet. If you think starship was next level, then you haven't heard of this:
      Scientists are also developing a laser-powered SAIL that they claim could allow us to travel 24 TRILLION miles to our closest star system in 20 years to Alpha Centauri

    I'm late to the show but the California high speed rail project was in the wrong video series that Top Fives produces. It should have been in the 'most useless mega projects in the world' series - or the most expensive failures. At the time this video was uploaded that was clearly apparent. I supported the original concept back in the 90's but it went bad from the start.

      NASA is working on a replacement for the ISS. It's investing in Blue Origin, Nanoracks, and Northrop Grumman as they develop competing designs for a next-generation (low earth orbit) space station to replace the ISS.
      By the way, we wouldn't have Space X, if the space shuttle was still running. Elon Musk came along and filled the void, that was left by the shuttle and created something nobody, thought was possible.
      Blue Origin teamed up with Sierra Space, Boeing and others to build Orbital Reef, a private space station, to begin flying by the end of the 2020s.
      An even bigger engineering feet is the NASA’s Lunar Gateway: The plans for a permanent space station that will orbit the Moon. Yeah bsbie!
      We're worrying about low earth orbit, let the Private space companies handle that,. NASA is thinking a 100 years into the future.
      The science and technology that will evolve out of this is absolutely mind-blowing.
      Next stop is Proxima Centauri b
