Especially with Bom's situation, a little bit of intimacy might be what she needs to reconnect with her fans. Either way, the girls need to tell their story their way. From my understanding, the drugs were used to help Bom because when she was still studying in the US, she faced a death of someone close and that incident had traumatized her since. She had already cleared the drug issue years ago, but it was brought back up and netizens claimed she got off the hook simply because she was an idol. Since then Bom has been inactive in Korea until MAMA 2015. Hopefully that helps clarify a bit.
