Top tip for learning this: Reduce the speed of the video down to 0.75 and you will be able to copy the pronunciations much easier than at full speed. When you are confident, then increase the speed again!

I don['t think it is very difficult. The grammar is similar to Spanish. The pronouncation is a little difficult because of the nasal sounds. But onverall it is not difficult. But it is a beautiful language.

looks like you are doing this like in your books. But I think that it would be better if you had the English under the Portuguese words at the same time. The way you are doing it you have to go back write down the whole conversation and compare it to the actual Portuguese one. That could be very frustrating and cause someone not to want to learn the language.

I watch movies and RUclips videos but I still can’t understand those. Since I can’t make out what people are saying how do I find input? I’ve been studying for almost 7 years now and I still can’t converse. I have to translate everything into English when I read because the words don’t mean anything to me like English words do. @@patfromamboy I use audio books in the target language and follow along. I have graded readers and many short stories with script. After months of listening to the stories I can understand easily now. It took a lot of listening to stories and dialogs. I have several language courses in the target language also, and I listen to them daily. Now I can understand spoken Spanish easily. Reading the stories with the English transcripts made a big difference for me. The graded readers had a lot of dialog that I listened to again and again. I plan to start Portuguese in about three months. Now I am collecting resoursces such as stories and dialogues.

The call of European Portuguese is as russian. This Portuguese is a little rude. I think so. But in my opinion Brazilian Portuguese looks for more Spanish.
