Hi, I just passed the re-certification of GCP PCA. I must say your videos and more importantly examtopics questions really helped. Thank you. Keep up the good work.

Please review your answer to your last slide, seems 10Tb is not enough to really use the transfer appliance? over 100Tb is would be fine. storage transfer service might be a better candidate
Hi John, thanks for the question. The main point of the clip is to explain the case study with its high level architect, and by doing that helps everyone to understand the concept and different between products. The mock-up question at the end is aim to helps how question could looks like and what can be asked. This specific questions is a little bit in the gray area and may need more detail about other factors like project deadline, cost and so on...and you are right 100TB would be more certain. There is a good link to help you make decision is here in Step 3: cloud.google.com/architecture/migration-to-google-cloud-transferring-your-large-datasets
Hi John, Google documentation states if 'your data size is greater than or equal to 10TB' as a 'good fit' for the transfer appliance. (cloud.google.com/transfer-appliance/docs/4.0/overview) Also, 10TB over 1Gbps would take about a day (all things working). Hope that helps.
I agree with John. We cannot decide by looking only the data size. The doc also says "It would take more than one week to upload your data over the network." (cloud.google.com/transfer-appliance/docs/4.0/overview#suitability). With 1Gbps it will take like a day. Let's say 2 or 3 days in worst case. It will take longer with the Transfer Applicance. Also the chart advised to use online transfer with this data size (10 TB) and transfer speed (1Gbps) (cloud.google.com/transfer-appliance/docs/4.0/overview#transfer-speeds).
Is it possible to use Cloud transfer appliance when data comes from another cloud (as stated in the question)? I am not sure, but I assume that it is not possible. In this case, I believe we have to reconsider Cloud storage transfer service or Gsutil. Thanks...
In diagram only Datastore is mentioned for simplicity and better visualize layout. Filestore (not Firestore ;)) is mentioned with the text beside and also with voice. But you have a good eye.

Hi , In last question you are saying "upload from a another CLOUD / onprem storage" so here if it was only onPrem then "Cloud Tranfer Appliance" is the correct answer, but there might be a "CLOUD" so in that case "Cloud Transfer Appliance " wont work, then we needs to take help of "Cloud Storage Transfer Service".........i can understand when its 10TB data then use "Applicance" but if this 10TB data is on CLOUD then how you willcopy ? .... Please correct the question :) Best Regards
Excellent video's Hong Ha. Trust me, I have gone through multiple videos on case studies and so far these very crisp and clear. Thanks for these. can you also post some video on Anthos and hybrid environment.
Hi Atul, thank you so much for your nice words. We will work with these two topics in near future. Obviously European Championship has slowed thing down a little bit :)
Hi Neeraj, examtopics is very helpful if you know how to get the most out of it. As quite a lot of users asking for the same, a clip will be released very soon to explain about it in detail. Meanwhile, you can find brief about it in my other clip "Learn 1 get 2 certificate GCP Engineer and Architect"
Excellent analysis! Keep up the great work Hong Ha :)
Many thanks anh Ha Phan and i'm very glad to hear! I will try my best with next clips! On your convenience, please help to spread the channel ;)

A correction at 6:14, it should be Datastore or Firestore.

Just wanted to ask is examtopics questions alright to pass and the answers in discussions are correct?
