UK Weather Forecast: Showers In The North - Mostly Dry In The South (Monday 22nd July 2024)

Good morning everyone and welcome to todays UK weather forecast on Monday 22nd July 2024.
Current Situation: The next trough of low pressure is moving in from off the Atlantic...
Today:
Monday starts with heavy rain through southern Scotland and northern England with light rain and drizzle for Wales and southwestern England. The rest of the country is mostly dry.
Through the rest of the day the wet weather in central regions will break up into showers with a scattered of quite heavy showers for Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern/eastern England this afternoon, Much of the south and west will stay dry with sunny spells. Temperatures will be close to average for the second half of July at 15C to 23C.
Tonight:
Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England should turn with clear spells but the rest of England and Wales will see some scattered, heavy showers but also plenty of dry weather too. Temperatures will be cool in the north but warm in the south at 7C to 17C.
Tomorrow:
Some scattered heavy and thundery showers could develop in the east and south east but most places will stay dry with sunny spells and variable cloud. Temperatures will be warmer than today at 18C to 25C.
Outlook:
Wednesday: Mainly dry and sunny again. Very warm.
Thursday: Heavy rain pushing east on Wednesday night with showers on Thursday itself. Warm.
Friday: Heavy showers in the north, dry in the south. Very warm.

22c at the moment Mountsorrel Leicestershire 70 percent cloud 30 percent sun not warmer enough for me another 8 c would be ideal at least no rain
