Going into business with anyone is a risk.. why? Because you don't know their financial habits, debts, bankruptcy, divorce, child support, expensive taste, greed.. you could partner with someone and it could go sour at any moment. Many former mlionares are broke because of partnerships. I'd get in and get out while it works.. move on while it's good. Yes, u may have multiple streams but if it's one or the main stream... it hurts..
She could use a factoring company that will provide a loan based on her invoice..Also give your clients a incetive to pay early. early payment discount.. it works
It's a broke man's mentality. If you borrow money from your circle, it is usually UNSECURED. Which means that there are no real financial consequences like you would have if you screwed over a bank. Friends USE that flexibility to get ahead and formulate the opinion that they don't REALLY HAVE TO pay you back (or pay you back on time). And then when their endeavors finally get rolling, they can think of 1000 things better to do with that money rather than to pay it back to you. Bottom line...we value money over integrity. This is why so many people turn up hurt or dead in the streets... Just ask the mob.
Money is about the only thing people universally understand in this country...even if they are different ethnicities religious backgrounds etc. Because other than that, what else can we unite under? We all might love or laugh and treat death differently, but bills don't care about none of that. Everybody comes to the church of the dollar at the end of the day.
@@KingJT80 I largely agree with you. It's the purpose/need for money that drives everyone to be this way. The sheer desperation derrived from it's scarcity forces a primitive mentality in an already cut-throat society. We only care about our own survival hence the reason DAME keeps getting screwed over. Capitalism + narcissism.... BAD combination.
To the first question they might want to consider offering a "Prompt Pay Discount" to clients, they may be willing to pay quicker for even 5-10% off the total bill amount.
CASHFLOW LESSON 101: To answer the question for the young lady who asked the question at 1:20 ... The answer should have been that she should open accounts with at least 3 various factoring companies since she works with insurance agencies and various companies. Then she should factor 30 percent of her invoices to aid in her cash flow issues and meet payroll issues. She can also use this method to check the credit of all of her clients to see whether she will require cash upfront or extend the net 30-60 invoice in the first place. This can also be used to expand her business model because she is extending credit to potential new clients. EASY ANSWER !!! to cashflow issues. This works especially with small to medium size companies who need to take on larger clients.
@Lala Ghana-Love well yea but it's because if he were white his community would have the money to support his ass. His current community, the black community doesnt.
ADOS CHICAGO there are many super Rich black people around the world. Heck, jay z is black. The people is that you black want to run a business based on sentiments. You also have to be able to solve people’s problems with your business. That way, it won’t matter what color you are. People will buy from you just because you are the best at what you do.
Lala Ghana-Love we won’t this, we won’t that. I hate when Black people keep crying about who won’t do this and that. The idea that people should support you just you are black is a defeatist mindset and will take us nowhere. We have to be excellent at what we do. We have to be able to solve problems. Most black business I see either have terrible customer service or outrageous prices for their goods and services. I would never support any business, that can’t provide me great services at affordable prices , just because the owner is black. I’ll gladly patronize the white, Latino, Asians etc as gas as they can provide me with great products and services at affordable prices.

That's a great reference point regarding the mafia. I've been saying this for a while that if the Black community would double down and use the mafia perspective/strategy when it comes to finance, we'd be alot better off than where we are now. We're so segregated in our thoughts that we negate progress as a whole because we don't follow a blueprint. A more relevant example would be the Jewish community. Look how powerful they've became through their own economics and power moves. Much love to Dame and Dr. Watkins.
This was so refreshing to listen to man. For the first time the interviewer respects the guest & the discussion is legit. This is how media needs to treat Dame respect the dude and stop trying to make him look the fool........
As far as starting a business for the long run, you should focus on perfecting the skills that you know and actually enjoy. People make money doing just about everything. Dame knows the music industry as well as the fashion industry and really should have stuck with that. I think he would have had better luck with that than trying to get into film because even though "Paid In Full" was cool, it didn't make much at the box office, plus he wasn't the only one eating from it's proceeds and I know I'm not the only one who thinks "HONOR UP" was TRASH. Jay-Z stuck to what he knew and learned along the way and got rich off of investments associated with the industry that he knew. I mean how many people knew about Dash Motor Oil???

The concept of forming a business relationship where we take advantage of accounts receivable/payable is not new though - that's how most businesses operate. I refer to it as the multiplier X...
@@christopherayettey4390 I'll take a wild guess of what you're looking for but here we go: most business relationships rely on one another in a "supplier/distributor interface" whereby a credit relationship is spawned - 30 day, 60 day or longer it depends all of which is good for any business survival. This hallmarks the 'multiplier x' idea which is critical. A business or businessman can't operate with the idea of growth by functioning in a silo. Blacks tend to do this isolation following new success. When we do this our growth (if any) tends to stall or not see the accelerated rate of growth given the capital which is a commodity itself.

Thats like the enemy teaching u how 2 kill them or fight back y would the enemy teach this shit n school we would all grow up n b millionaires instead of Modern day Slaves
Both Jay and Dame have different stories of why they parted ways. I wish we could get an interview with the two of them similar to how Kobe and Shaq did. It'll never happen tho.

Going into business with anyone is a risk.. why? Because you don't know their financial habits, debts, bankruptcy, divorce, child support, expensive taste, greed.. you could partner with someone and it could go sour at any moment.

Lala Ghana-Love woooooo 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Watkins.

Please elaborate
@@christopherayettey4390 In what context? Please be specific
