I think he actually handled a very hostile interview very well. The way she kept phrasing the questions was so incredibly biased. No name calling like certain politicians would do. Just the facts.

She really did a good job. Pressed on issues, expressed interest in really hearing his perspective, didn't let him give politician answers but also maintained respect and composure. Kudos.
She did a terrible job. She allowed him to lie and gave zero push back. For example vast majority of fentanyl that crosses the border are by legal residents/citizens through ports of entry. He didn’t address the real cause but used political talking points to demonize migrants.

It’s gotten them extreme polarization where low-information people who never otherwise would have voted do because it’s easy and they are peer pressured into doing so. That’s turned it into a contest for turnout, which means a contest for the extremes. When it is more difficult to vote (in a physical sense, in that you have to go down to the polls), it tends to become a contest for the middle (as politics always was until the last decade, coinciding with the rise of mail-in voting) and polarization decreases. The more states go for mail-in ballots, the more polarized society will continue to be because those low information voters will continue to make the difference.

It's possible that nobody can stop trump form being president, even democrats corruption and weaponizing the law to try and imprison their political opponents might not work. in 2020, they world was at stand still, it was something very different, not so in 2024. This was a really good interview. Dasha didn't let him off the hook with the stock answers and DeSantis took every follow-up punch and answered pretty directly. DeSantis has been carefully trained and has a lot of canned responses. It's nice to see him go off the cuff when pressed because he doesn't do it often in normal interviews. Two people having a conversation and the media taking the candidate to task when warranted which is what we should have.
He is a perfect example of a narcissist, denial, denial not me. It’s everybody else I didn’t do this. I didn’t do that. Need to pay attention to what he’s talking look in the mirror. Listen to what you’re saying it’s just play

Governor DeSantis does not recognize Florida Correctional Officers and Detention Deputies as Emergency First Responders and or Law Enforcement Officers despite several legal precedents that state that they in fact are. This is a major problem especially considering that Florida's prisons and jails are in a state of crisis. Many of the legal precedents that define FL COs as emergency first responders and law enforcement officers were signed into law by Governor DeSantis but when FL COs needed their Governor to come through for them he was nowhere to be found and did not even stand up for the very laws he signed into law. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Owes Florida Correctional Officers Their Second Recognition Payment and the country most certainly deserves better.

People don't move to a new state because of a temporary politician, they're going to Florida because of no corporate taxes and weather. Desantis is brazenly taking huge donations from the real estate industry, insurance industry, utility providers, and those who pay attention, see how all his largest donors are artificially hiking their prices exponentially, while filling Desantis' pockets, as he turns his head. Then, he obsesses over injecting his politics into schools, and pretending to be a "woke crusader" to distract from the horrendous governance of his Administration, and how much he's in bed with special interests, in Florida. He also has attacked the First Amendment rights of Floridians so often, he's known as the anti-free-speech Governor. If you think Desantis is the reason people are moving to Florida, you're not a very intellectually honest person.
You forgot that he needs to brag about the millions the state is losing due to his authoritarian attacks on business, super unpopular abortion law, politicizing the education system, attacking immigrants that are fleeing vital industries like agriculture and construction all due to his wonderful bigotry and extremist ideology. Oh, and I forgot about home insurers pulling out of the state, ignoring direct democracy proposals to give former felons their rights back. Make America Florida indeed!!! 🙄
